I need help about auto shoot ability when in range.

Hi, I would like to know how to make ability that can auto shoot when enemy is in range and not based on the Heroes/units attack with independant cooldown... I mean it not need the units attack to activated it and each ability can cast without interfering eachother.
A bit as the th15 map Tank Comander or BattleShip by sked or any other map like this, i'm not sure if its trigger or abilities setting, but i would like the least lag.

Tank Commanders are done with dummy units following the hero.
Battleships are done with the Phoenix Fire ability.

for the pheonix fire ability, just set the cool down, to the attack cool down, and set the maximum targets to wha you want, and set the missile, pretty simple. I think the dummy one was clear enough

Ok at this time I too am making a map (see sig). I was wondering if by using Pheonex Fire, I can make it only fire once when the button is pressed. If not, I will still use it for a different purpose.
(I've never used phoenex hero, so I don't know what it does)

There are other spells that will work better for a single click, phoenix fire is used because it fires automatically.

Use a modified Bear Form to switch to auto-fire, or a modified Metamorphosis to switch to a temporary auto-fire. Give the 'alternate' unit exactly the same stats as the 'normal' one, only include your modified Phoenix Fire in ability slot X1, Y1 (Or X2 Y1 if there's no Shadow Meld in your map) for the modified unit.

Hi again,

I would like to make autoshoot, but with effect like slow,frost, poison, ... and others possible effect, any know a way to autoshoot them...
is it possible to make an ability like shadow strike to autoshoot without trigger or you may need them???

Any can explain how work the ''order string'' ... activate, desactivate, turn off, use/turn on ... is it possible to make any ability to autocast with this???
Can item hold autocast spell and what spell is casting when in range?

For adding poison effect, simply make it do DoT and change the buff.

SS auto fire, either see above for with pheonix fire, or if you want on attack, use an orb ability.

You could use "Searing Arrows" or "Cold Arrows" (i think) and change them so they do slow poison or slow or w/e you want ;)

I try to understand what you talking about, but I don't know how to change it in Dot, but I will see what i can do about the buff.

I thinked about it, but its based on attack so I don't think you can control cooldown time and have multiple at same time. If i have 3 times this abilities on the same hero I don't think it will work fine.


Thank you for the suggestion, but I don't think it will work, any more suggestion please.

DoT is short for damage over time. Phoenix fire can deal additional damage over time after it hits a unit. However, the ability doesn't attack units that are still suffering from a DoT from a previous hit. So, if you make a phoenix fire ability that deals 10 damage per hit and an additional 1 damage for the next 10 seconds, that means that in the next 10 seconds, a unit that is hit by this ability won't be able to be hit again by it.
