I would like to know if there is a program out there i can use to convert the cinematic files used on Warcraft 3 into AVI or MPG format. Any program that may do this? Thanks!

I forget exactly how i did it, but i think i just changed the name of the file to whatever.mpg. Try that, or see if you can change it in properties.

Yes they are right.
What might be important for you is that ONLY the MPQ files in the folder "Movies" in your Warcraft III folder are videos. Change the file extension to AVI (e.g.: HumanEd.mpq => HumanEd.avi). Then open them in Windows Media Player or RealOne Player (DivX Player Alpha and Quicktime 6 doesn't work for me).
In addition to this I think Warcraft III must be installed, because once I wanted to give only the Cinematics to someone who hadn't installed Warcraft III and he couldn't play them.

btw, the blizzard.ax is just a renamed version of a divx codec.
