why do you fill the drawing? It think it would be better with only the contours.. also try to do some shading. and it needs more persepecrtive, but with shading it would be a bit more persepected.

Meh. It's rare to see someone draw that way, and if that's his spontaneous approach, he should continue that way. If you draw only the outline, most probably the figure will look very plain and flat unless the contour is more than good. He just have to pay more attention on the shading IMO
