Hmm, I'll look into it. Also.. *points to the EDIT button* You don't need to put a new post after one minute :) |

Uhhum... I know I'm a tad late to post on this, but what the heck. Hell-Knight, the standard of getting hosted here on wc3c is indeed high and therefore many 'old' project were stopped being hosted - or those who didn't had much progress. Also, there are more multiple rules to keep it on. You saying "why need a story?" that's like asking, a book without letters, only pictures. Interesting for the little kids, but doubtful to the somewhat older ones and adults. A story in it may might as well be the most important structure of the project, with several exceptions. But I rather play a game with bad graphics and a good story than a game with good graphics and a bad story. Yes, I felt quite something after reading that since I am giving everything I have to "stories" - until my arm hurts too much. If you bother explaining the map so many times, copy what you wrote before and paste it again afterwards. I know you (sort of) from out here and I am quite familiar with the amount of text you write... seriously, that isn't much, if it would be (I'm not exagerating) 10 times the amount of the average post of yours, then it still isn't much. If you want to bother don't spending too much time on writing it and don't want to use a copy/paste way, learn to type faster. There is no real need to "look into this" either. -Fladian |

Your map doesn't need a story line. It just need not to suck. :P |

Story is part of the "suck," don't you ever forget that RightField ;) |

well i havnt been on for a couple of days the point is..its screwed up one of the best map makers of wc3 yet to be in my eyes asked for wc3campaings for his map to be posted but it said the SAME thing to him as it did to me and my rpg witch did have a story line was said for the same thing i even had somone that works for blizzard*No Pay* he dose triggers and modling and skinning he was also helping me so that makes so sence why would be think my game is good when wc3campaigns didnt so i was wondering so i went out on battle net to ask around and most rpg players loved the idea and wanted to play it but befor its completion my comp crashed rpg gone... so i disided to make a new map from a popular game type same thing no story line and i dont think people will like i....ITS POPULAR i know im spelling it wrong =D thats my point if no one agrees to me i can prob understand its 2 hard for them to take into consideration and i know somone is gonna reply he prob not the best map maker i said in my eyes for those who where gonna say it just shut up |

Just put your map onto battle.net and have tons of people host it. If people like it, they'll play it or else they won't. |

I guess I understood it wrong. I thougt you were referring to a project host here on wc3c, excuse me. Just like StealthFox said, just ask someone to host it on Bnet and that's it. |

Maybe if you told us what project you submitted, we could have looked into it. Also, if your first map doesn't get hosted and you drop it and start a new one, that will only lower your chances, because you will probably drop that too. |

That's common sense. |

Common sense isn't really common to most people these days. :P |

yea, but dont you think you might have unhosted the good projects? im sure you have your reasons and i might be over reacting, but arent you a bit strickt (was that spelled right?) with the new rules? |

No, he did not. There has been multiple discussion about that subject, use the search to find a few if you want to know. I'm well informed of what happened as well. If you are referring to the rules of the hosted projects, no, they aren't really that strict. We are just getting tired of hosted projects that have a slower progress speed than unhosted projects. If you look some of the projects in the Team Gathering forum, you'll see that they have much more progress. Take the Final Fantasy 7 or the Single Player WoW projects as exmaple. |
