Reputation bug?

I just tried to give positive rep to Draco for his Stockmarket game but instead I was given an error message telling me I can't give reputation to my own posts. I tried it twice... Is this a bug in the reputation system?

On the same subject... when does one reach his second 'block'?

you get a block every 100 rep points.

You can see on your user CP, there's a list of times and reasons when you were given rep. The amount of rep you get depends on the rep of the person who gave your post an approval, however, you can't see the exact amounts gained for each approval, nor can you see who it was who gave you the rep unless they put their name in their "reason".

I only have 12 points although the first time I got rep (for a bloody long post) was from someone highly respected, which gave me about half of all the points I have to date :)

If I continue at my present rate, it'll take me another 370 posts to get to the next block.

Reputation isn't that important to me. Too often people count the skill of a modder by his reputation (even though I have to admit that it's always nice to see a shiny new reputation on my list).

I agree that it shouldn't be taken as an indication of how good someone is at his/her modding trade. It's misleading to see it that way when a lot of rep (indeed all of mine) comes from interesting, funny or helpful posts people have made and has no relation to their modding.

Repping is good imo, and one warning to you guys, don't random rep -_- I random rep all which was positive and an admin (not sure which one) bad rep'd me and took my rep down 10 points :/ just a warning to some who want to rep someone but have to spread it then go on repping sprees lol and speaking of repping bugs, to usually rep I have to completly disable my AV before I can rep (it's rare but annoying) anyone know why?

I dunno, but I like random repping :P

People are always glad when you send them even one little green piece of reputation (and usually pay it back if they'r more than just total noobs). Atleast I always try to repay the reputation people send me.

Anyway when you pass on random rep, you are never 100% radom, you always are kinda selective and pass on to people that marked you, not to noobs you don't even know...
