What happened to forum navigation?

There was this special pop-up menu at the bottom-right of the forum window where you could select to jump to any part of the wc3c forums. Now I don't see it anywhere. It's a bit awkward because I have really goten used to navigating the forums with it, easily jumping from "the repository" to "maps in development" without having to go all the way up to developer's corner.

Ahh, just regualr maintenance, I see. I was afraid that it was a bug of some sort, and if nobody pointed it out, it wouldn't come back. :) That would be a real shame, it's a really powerfull tool.

I just went here to say something about it too. You never notice it's there till you miss it, being gone. Lol.

I must say that I've never noticed it...but I would love to use it if it were there.

I use it to quickly return to the forum after having read the last few (new) replies in a topic. I hit the "Go" button and it returns me to the forum, without having to scroll up or hit backspace numerous times.

That's so true, you usually end reading a topic when you get to the bottom of it, and there it's just so handy. And if you know that's the last topic you meant to read in that section, you can just as easily jump somewhere else. (in addition, the wc3c is somewhat buggy in my new Firefox, and doesn't even display trigger haven if I try to get to it directly from forum index; luckily, my IE started working again for some reason, otherwise, now that forum navigatior is temporarily removed, I couldn't even get to that forum :/ )

I noticed new links at the bottoms of threads, whith which you can go to the main forum index or the subforum in whichg the thread is. I hope this is just a temporary replacement for the previous "forum jump" tool, and not a permanent one. There are still many things I could do and was used to doing with the old tool that the new one doesn't cover.

It's temporary. In the effort to improve site speed, we noticed that the original forum-jump code was one area that could be improved quite a bit. It will be up when it's done.

These links serve their purpose well though. Good going. :)

I had never noticed this popup menu (is it the same as what there once was on TheHubb?). Maybe it's cause I use internet explorer...
