Windows XP SP2. I've downloaded various versions of this tool, but none of them have worked for me. I downloaded the ~4.1MB file and the app starts fine, but when I click a button to convert from MDL->MDX or vice versa, I get an error message. Access violation at address 6F56951F in module 'GAME.DLL'. Read of address 000A01A0. How can I get past this? I've even re-installed War3 to make sure the 1.0 DLLs were in there, but they were the same as in the download. I've also tried this installer made available on the forums, and that doesn't work either. I've tried converting several different .mdl files available on the fourms, and even a simple box I created in Gmax; no luck Thanks! |

Have you tried just closing and reopening the converter? That bug happens to me occasionally, and is always fixed (for me) by closing and reopening. |

Many times . I've never been able to run it successfully, unfortunately, and I've tried every trick posted throughout these forums. |

Have you tried copying it into your warcraft directory? That's the only other thing I can think of. |

Did you try putting all of the required files into the same folder as Yobgul's convertor? |

I'm having this problem too. I'm reopening it but it crashes at exit and won't run again. The method i'm using is to extract Converter and overwrite earlier installation. It is stupid but it works. ![]() |

I've copied the files from a virgin WC3 Install into the converter folder, and also copied the converter itself into the WC3 folder (which is the same exact thing, but I figured I would try). I'm on the verge of just writing my own, that does not rely on having any WC3 files around. ^_^ |
