First of all it would be nice if you told us what sort of map you were making, the features, the concept, the type of map, is it an AoS, a Tower defense? Any information about your map would be greatly appreciated, nobody can help you if you don't say anything about your map besides that you're about to realise it. On a side note, as a general rule, make sure you change the version number in the title of the map at every update. |

Guest | That title thingy was actually what I was looking for, as an example :P It's a.. umm.. battleship inspired map named Pirates. However it is not like Battleships, except the cannons. I've worked on it for a looong time but only recently started to work for a release. Tommorrow I'll have it posted and hosted and tell ya more, need to sleep right now(12h of Dota and Risk :D) |

I think a good way to check everything out is to play the map yourself and go through everything: try out all the ships, check all the tooltips, verify the functionality, ... That's the in-game check that is good for spotting typoes, getting the feal for balance and other stuff that you can miss in the editor. However, there are things to check in the editor as well, like if the numbers in the tooltips match the actuall damage/duration/whatever... When I develop my maps, I spend quite some time in-game trying them out. |
