I have had an idea, for a very long time, that could be used to acuratly represent huge battle sequences without half the players lagging out (I speak mainly of LOTR maps). This idea is to replace the individual warriors with small scale groups. I originally used the crypt fiend projectiles and attached banners to them, in the hope that this might pass off as a group of men from a distance but that never seemed to work. I would like to try using models which incoporate a douzen or so vaguelly humanoid men in one group. If there is anyone able to skin and model interested in doing this sort of job then I would be thrilled. Basically, the spiders in the crypt fiend projectile art need to be replaced with small humanoid looking models with no animation. A few specifications if you will: - remove ribbon effects - an "origin" attachment point at the center of the complete model. - Each of the small models are team-coloured (so player one's men are red). Thanks. Wilbo edit: wrote this up a bit quickly last time so I clarified a few things. |

Well, it seems that nobody is interested; I seem to have a knack for being ignored. Am I doing something wrong here? Should I phrase my requests differently? |

Ok, well I looked at oinkerwinkle's suggestions and so I might just close this thread at try again. heaven knows I've edited it enough. |

Ok, I don't think I phrased my request very well, especially after reading oinkerwinkle's suggestions so I am going to restart it, possibly in the forge (as part of another thread). Could somebody please close this thread or tell me how to do it myself? |

Ok, I closed it. There's nothing really wrong with how you phrased your request; it's just not a particularly interesting thing to do. |
