Ok, it's really... craptastic... That alien (or whatever it is) head under the orc head on the right is very nice. The rest... you need to improve. Practice is the key. Never give up.

the reffed ones were ok... not really
then the non-reffed ones suck
i gotta practice some more

It's good you have a reffed one in there, but I'd like to see a lot more life drawings from you. Just keep drawing like Mara said.

and i did try to look at real life
to an extent

Indeed, cross-hatching is not in and of itself inherently evil, but it can easily be abused to the detriment of the subject. Your cross-hatching there really flattens out those shapes. There's nothing at all wrong with cross-contour or lateral lines, and when you apply them in such a way that they describe the form, they can add character to your linework.

On another note, I've been wondering what is that faded grey T shape in the middle of all your papers. Is it like a watermark, something on your scanner glass, or maybe it's on the other side of the paper you're drawing on?

oh, you see my scanner has this negative slide on the "ceiling"
so when i scan, the light goes THROUGH the paper, hits the dark colored slide holders, and it gets included
ill scan the scanner if you want
