Does anyone have an .mdl version of Sheep.mdx laying around? None of the converter tools work for me (and yes, I've tried it all). Thanks! |

.MDL is not a correct file if your looking for the Sheep model, it's .MDX and that is why you cannot find it. Once you import and use a model in Warcraft III it automatically makes it a .MDL and searching for .mdl will only end up in failure. Enclosed with this post is the Sheep.mdx file :) |

Guest | i think he wants the mdl because he can't find any converters to convert it himself to edit it. |

Yeah, I need the .MDL because I'm testing an .mdx loader I wrote for my engine, and also because I may take the core of said .mdx loader and making it a new MDX->MDL converter (and vice versa eventually). I picked the Sheep as a simple case to start with testing since it has only 1 Geoset and 12 bones, so I could use an existing .mdl to compare against the data I come up with after the import. On that note, does anyone have a mesh even simpler than the sheep..say with 5 bones or so? I currently have limbs going off in all sorts of directions, so the less bones in the test model, the better ![]() |
