Help with a simple spell

for a hero in my AoS project she has the spell Fade, basically it's a active spell that gives perm invisibility, evasion, AND no shadows and transparency.

i based it on metamorphesis so i can add no shadow/invisibility/evasion. but what got me stuck is the Animation - Change Vertex Coloring trigger. my trigger is like this

EVENT - Unit starts effect of an ability
CONDITION - Ability equals to Fade
ACTIONS - Set Triggering Unit's Vertex to 80% transparency.

Now this is what happens, the original unit becomes transparent, BUT the morphed one is not transparent. AFTER he finnished morphing he becomes transparent.

I have tried many different stuff like "Casting Unit" "Begins casting" "Finishes Casting" does not WORK!

oh ya, when i change the transparency normally, and the unit becomes invisible by either wind walk or shadow meld the transparency is lost again!

Why dont u give the abilitiy to the unit after the spell is cast...so:

Event - Unit casts an ability

Con - Ability equal to Meta

Actions - Wait 1.00 seconds
Unit add Permant invisiblity to (casting unit)


OR

Event - Unit casts an ability

Con - Ability equal to Meta

Actions - Wait 2.00 seconds
Animation set the vortex colouring to......

ya man i tried everything, including those wait thingys. i think it's because the editor simply dont recognize a morphed unit as the original triggering/casting/etc unit. anyone know a way around this?
