I am doing a project called A Shroud of Dakness, but that doesn't matter. Look at the terrain and tell me what you think. P.A |

For the runis terrain, you should use the grass tile at various places... and add fog at y=1000 and x=7000 in any color you want (prefferably a matching color), it is at "map options". Add that at every terrain you've got. This will spice your map up and make it look waaay better... |

I like the terrain, but it has a few things that could be better. (other than needing fog) Temple Thingy: Great, no problems i can see. Snowy Mountain: There are some weird shadows going on. Like little light squares. Cliff near Ocean: Horizon is a little blah. Spice it up somehow... Farm in Forest: Looks like the barn is blocking the entrance. The Village: Way too flat. Needs some height variation. The Beach: Try letting it slope more gently into the water. Then add shells and crabs. Hope this helps. ^_^ Also, I voted nice. |

But both jungle scenes strike me as dull. Also, I think your village is a little too rectangular. |

Everything is fine except for the first beach scene, theres nothing in the background (perhaps another island?) and theres nothing on the shore, perhaps add some shells and other doodads. Other than that it looks fine |

Guest | Nice, but some work needed I reckon. The ruins map is very flowery...an assault to the eyes almost...perhaps it needs to be toned down slightly? Beach 2 is quite nice, Beach 1 looks funny - the beach sinks down into the water suddenly almost cliff-like really (beaches that I've been to go gradually ^_^ ) Village is really nice...I really like it, but Farm looks a bit deserted - is that the intention? Perhaps some farm animal units eg chickens would make it look a bit better. Midnight Road looks OK, but I would suggest that the bumps in the road, especially from the middle and into the distance looks too periodic and similar - a bit more randomisation in levels could perhaps work well for this... |

I agree some of my terrain was looking bland, i diddn't have any fog and the farm not having any animals was intentional. Have you ever seen a corn farm with chickens eating everything? On other parts of the map there are pig farms ect so don't worry. I would like to thatnk you all for the great feedback it has helped me lots. P.A |

Nice terrain much better than alot of terrain ive seen, most ppl half @$$ it. But i think you could have used more doodads. More plants and stuff and maybe some wildlife. And I agree the beach is rather plain. But all in all good job! 7/10 |

i think its great, the only this id advise is (on the forest pics) use the raise/lower tool more, its a bit flat. |
