Guest | Howdy folks I just started a new map a few days ago, and I'm pretty new to mapping, but I want to do custom spells and whatnot. -So- I was going through a tutorial to do so and it tells me I should replace ability files from war3.mpq with any that exist in war3patch.mpq so that I'm up to date. I don't know if this is still the case or not, this tutorial seems a little old. My issue occurs when I open the war3patch.mpq, all the files are listed as ~unknowns\unknown_0000000d and so on. I didn't find any ability files, and I was wondering if this was normal or if my mpq extractor might now be up to date enough to accomplish this task (WinMPQ v1.62). So if this is a dumb question, please don't flame me lol....it's my first day =) -Eumyin Also I wanted to ask what a good Spell Editor was. This tutorial says DashiofDeath's Spell Editor but again it looks kinda old. |

Guest | So this replaces all those other ability files I pulled from the war3.mpq earlier and is now just 1 big file? |

Guest | LOL ok well I think I'm seeing a pattern here and in all the other threads as well. I'm just gonna go get TFT. Although it's pretty sleazy of them to not let ROC people have the ability editor module.... Thanks for your help Lord Vexorian =) |
