Ok first thing m8, is its a birds eye view....ok that doesnt help at all.... id adversie, make it look atmaspheric by adding a low ground fog or weath effect such as light rain plus in game fog....prolly dark green or light blue to give it that dense feeling..... Best way to add more tiles is use WEU or Wc3 Utilties. Otherwise i hate saying it as its so annoying when ppl tell me this, but search. sorry if i wasnt to specific but i hope ur forest comes out better... PS: add some doodads like river rushes or shrubs to the base of the trees the players will see....makes it look wild. and theres no point adding shrubs where they wont see them...if u get me. |

ok thats for the suggestion and sorry i didnt search first. I hope the fog idea makes it look more scarry or something like that. i want it to be like a night time setting and stuff. And i dont know how else to do it if birds eye view doesnt help. i dont really wana reveal my map. this forest is only like 1/10 of the maps total size. over half of the map is the mansion that you need to escape |

still even if its first person...anyway you can use WEU to get more tiles in it but sometimes it gets messed up. really im saying use more of the tiles u started out with u only used like 3 or 4 u need to add variation so it looks realistic. i also agree u need weather like rain or fog. ![]() |

tile variation just means to not use too much of the same tile in an area. mix it up a bit. |

quite good i say, go with what beam says. but id like to say it looks a little to organized (i like the random crazy forest) |

I am pretty limited on the height variation due to the camera. If i go up to high the camera will go right through the terrain. Since im trying to get a over the shuolder camera. I might just say screw it and zoom the camera out a bit because the camera is really slowing down the game.(not lag, but takes a lot longer to do things) Ill try to post better screen shots later |
