You have to be more clear. So, you noticed that the Bladestorm ability plays an animation on the Blademaster that makes him look like he's spinning, rather than having any extra special effect models like most spells do. So, what are you doing to try to create a Bladestorm effect? I've seen and tried a few passable Bladestorm-like abilities on different models using triggered Cyclone or Tornado art. I guess I just need to know exactly what you're trying to give you a better idea of how to get it to work. |

or you could do some .mdl editing using oinkerwinkle's animation editing tools... you can give a beastmaster the bladestorm animations etc. |

it's not that simple, you'd also have to transfer the bladestorm geoset, and give it proper geoset anims, add the bones needed, and set vertex groups, which i think is just oo much trouble |

I just did it with triggers:god_help_us: Basically you set up a trigger that fires when the ability is cast. Then for the actions, tell it to play sfx to what you want. (dont forget to destroy them).~Triggers actually allow more avariablity for the sfx since you can mix and match~ |

Does Bladestorm work on any hero you want, just without a graphic? So for numerous seconds, DPS is dealt to nearby enemy units, while the caster is magic immune... even though he cant attack yet still move around? |

Yes, Bladestorm works for anything, but only the Blademaster models have the right animation tag to go with the effect, GreyArchon. |

this post is like 3 months old... you just revived an old thread... not good for an answer to your question, look in the sound editor of WE around abilities/spells |

Err, I think he wants the special effect. It's an animation of the model, not an independent model itself, like I said before. However, I know it's been extracted and converted to a separate model by enterprising individuals. Check wc3sear.ch's model downloads. |
