Ability goes away on revive for some heroes...

I am having this strange problem:

I have a custom ability "corrosive touch" which is made from the shadow orb's ability (decreases enemy armor on hits). Naturally this ability does not show up for heroes so I have a made a dummy ability for it. Everything has worked fine thus far but recently I added more heroes and when one (custom hero copied from demon hunter w/ modified model to wolf) dies he loses his corrosive touch ability even though it still has the correct level, and can be leveled up (I know this because I have made a debug to tell me level of "real" corrosive touch ability).

Anyone know why it does this for just one hero?

Could have something to do with another of the hero's abilities. Or maybe some weird thing about the hero it's based off of. World editor seems to be full of little bugs that mess things up with no apparent solution.

yeah those are good suggestions but it happens when there are no other heroes in the map, and the hero it happens to is a literal copy (custom unit) of a hero that works! Yeah looks like I might just have to make a workaround.

It could be a problem with ability effects stacking, what other abilities does this hero have, one of them might overide the effects of the ability.

That really can't be it because in my map you pick your abilites, so this hero can have/had the same abilities as any other hero. And it has the problem when corrosive touch is the ONLY ability the hero has (no items or anything)

What trigger are you using to give it the dummy icon ability? What other abilities does it have?

ah I figured it out, it is the hero glow model that I am using that is avaliable in WE Unlimited. Guess I just won't use hero glows...

It happened because I was removing then adding the hero glows again on respawn (because colors would always be red on revive). For some reason that disabled corrosive touch.
