Canopy help!

So I was working on the initial cinematic scene for this new campaign I've started ( and may even finish someday! ) when I hit a snag.

Basically, the city is based around these huge trees ( Yes, it's been done, but still ) but the elf-queen's palace is a collection of towers that pierce through the huge trees' canopy. And that's where the trouble starts. How do I make this canopy look good, from above?

Oh, and I've included a screenshot of part of the city ( just started ), if anyone has any tips or suggestions, I'm open to criticism.

Thanks!

ummmm...only from the top? well trees scaled up and then "squished" so its basically the top part u see and then raised to a certain level.thats all i got for u right now, i havent really thought much on it.

i think the bush model at rthe top pf the tree would look good, you might also want to try useing viney plants round the edge to make it look more leaf like

I even added a small path in the dense foliage. Here are the pics, tell me what I should improve.
