Guest | I know this might be the wrong place, but i thought SOMEONE might notice.. I have already downloaded Wc3 Image Extractor II, then, after opening, and saving a file to a folder called "Edited Skins" in my Warcraft III folder, then, opening photoshop i have made small changes on SEVERAL skins, then, naming then differently then they were originally called, i open my world editor, load a map..Then use my import manager to import the file, i have also tried renaming them .blp both in photoshop AND simply in my folder, i have tried with image extractor, but it will not save them as .blp's, after importing the files, i then change the full path to: Edited Skins/Archer.blp or whatever, (Archer was the last one i tried)then, going into my unit editor, i carefully set the custom model path to: Edited Skins/Archer.blp(i am told no useable imported files exist in the button above custom model path.). However, despite saving and reloading, it still comes out as a large white and black box, ingame, the unit works, but is invisible except for it's shadow If anyone knows what i am doing wrong, please tell me..Thanks. |

You need to convert the files from one format to another. This is NOT accomplished by simply renaming the file. I thought that Image Extractor could do this, but apparently my memory's fuzzy. At any rate, War3Viewer will do it, and it works quite well. Extract a .blp as a .tga format image, make your changes, save, and then use War3Viewer to convert it back to .blp. After that's done, you can import it into your map and refer to it as necessary. |
