Hey I am working on a campaign and we want to integrate it into Warcraft 3, replacing the human campaign. I have edited the CampaignStrings.txt file to change the human campaign to match ours, and also changed the file names. I placed the maps in the Maps/Campaigns folder inside my War3 folder (they will be in an MPQ when they are finished). My problem is the following: if I try to run a map from the campaign menu, the screen fades out, but then instead of loading the map, it returns back to the human campaign screen. Anyway knows why it is doing that and how it can be fixed? |

well first off, u need to make a fake version of the map yer editing. example: if u have a map in Maps\Campaign\nic1.w3m thne create a text file then make it a .w3m file and put it in the same directory as in the mpq, just in yer war3 directory, also it just needs to have the same name, its meant to be a blank file. also when u add the maps to the mpq, u cant compress them or it wont open |

Well I am not sure I fully get what you wrote, but let me clarify. If my War3 directory is C:\Program Files\Warcraft III then my map is at this path ATM C:\Program Files\Warcraft III\Maps\Campaign\My map.w3m This I think should work if I put inside the CampaignStrings.txt file something like File00="My map" And thanks about the tip to not compress maps inside MPQs. I did not know that. |

The problem seems to be with the map itself. War3 tries to load it, but fails to do so for some reason. Are there are any requirements maps that are loaded from the campaign menu must meet if they are to load properly? |

Alright I got it working. I had to remove my MP3 music from the map and add them to the patch MPQ instead (and edit a few txt files to add them as music themes). Which begs the following question: even though they show up in the music theme list, is there a way to also make them appear in the sound browser in the sound editior? |
