Taos' Students

Fladian
Seeing as I will be somewhat unactive for coming few months, I might as well throw out some stuff to satisfy people a bit with my absence ;) So, I might as well give this as well.

This... eh... story, is part of the history from several characters I made together with more things that are being part of it. Naturally, Fladian is one of them as well ;) But not to mention, some characters are based on people I am friends with. That includes both outside the net as on it.
Lord Taos Levens, at that moment, the strongest and most skilled swordsman. Nowadays, retired and living in a small house near the edge of the Grand Forest. Taos Levens was called 'The Champion' partly because he won every tournament he joined but also because he is yet to be defeated.
Clyde Sacun, at that moment still a student and trained by Taos Levens. Nowadays, one of the most skilled swordsmen that travels throughout the western continent.
Fladian Lince, at that moment, also a student that is being trained by Taos Levens. Nowadays, a famous a bard that travels through the land who has more names than most other famous people. Fladian is probably the most rumored person around.
Lady Chelsea Valentine, at that moment, princess of the Empire and a student of Taos Levens. Nowadays, the Empress of the Empire and rules the 4 continents. Also, daughter of the former Emperor, Lord Glodich Valentine.
Herasiel, at that moment, the most feared swordsman. Because Taos had no intention of falling from his title as 'swordsman,' Herasiel specialized in another weapon - an axe. Herasiel became a very talented axe-carrier who is able to change his attack in mid-air. Nowadays, Herasiel is no longer walking the land of mortals.

There, that should cover about all characters that are being mentioned in it. It has been a while since I wrote it, notify me if I missed any character that was being mentioned quite often.
And like I said before, it is more of a history than anything else.

OK, let's sparkle~
---
Sitting in the opposite directions of each other, not daring to look at each other. A small bottle of water in the middle, and not even magic or a small fire was needed to create heat in the room. The fire in their eyes could clearly be seen, they were definitely determined enough to win from their master in combat if it would only depend on their determination. But their skill, concentration and most important of all, their teamwork would be the most important factor in their exam. Defeating their master in combat was only a mere dream, something that could never happen would they fight alone. Lord Taos Levens, well known as the world's best swordsman, undefeatable, even by those who hold the title, second best. He is even called ‘The Champion' by those who know him, even by the axe-master, Herasiel. In these times, lord Taos already retired and is living on the edges of the grand forest with his wife and daughter, and his last wish of not being disturbed has been respected as well. Even by the forces of Aurora, Herasiel and Blackdeath.
Taos looked over the small battlefield what princess Valentine prepared for him. A few trees were in sight, surely enough trees to protect both his students as himself to the strongest attacks they mastered. A combination of the three who are called now, nearly undefeatable are being tested one more time to the man who trained them in the arts of the sword in a small part of the grand forest, guarded by the royal-elite forces of the Empire.
Trees and rocks to hide, a small river to rest and a small cabin to prepare them selves for the battle of their lives. Taos was merely waiting outside in the small sea of trees until the three students would leave the cabin to notify him they were ready. They could take as long as they want, but in the end it will come to the fact that they only have one chance to defeat the Champion; did they decided on the right way to attack him? Or perhaps someone will hesitate only for a second during battle, whichever would be the case, they could be fatal in real combat. Who could ever imagine fighting equally with lord Taos Levens? Not even Herasiel who is well known for his excellent arts with any blade – though heavily specialized in his personal enchanted axe – is not even able to injure Taos. But now, three of the most powerful warriors and the most powerful students of Taos are combined to try and defeat Taos in real combat. ‘A final test before graduation,' Taos named it. He trained all of them good enough to be at least more skilled than a small battalion of empirical soldiers. How skilled they could become was not Taos' decision to make, perhaps one of his students is more talented than “The Champion is, but it cannot be found out in only a year of training.

With only a small reaction from your sight in the cabin you are able to see the group of people who will be fighting side on side soon. The longhaired and definitely most angered man, Clyde Sacun, the loner and cloaked man, Fladian Lince, and the young princess, ready for combat, Princess Chelsea Valentine. A deadly combination if they would be able to fight side on side, something that even the Champion knew, but only if they could fight side on side.
All three sitting in a corner of the cabin, intensively thinking of a way to even harm the Champion a bit.

Clyde Sacun, now known under the nickname of ‘Blood-death' because his fighting involves a lot of blood. Not because of any ‘bragging' reason, but more because Sacun is able to make use of it. The blood could distract the opponent or forces the opponent to make a miss-step, even if it only gives an opening for only a fraction of a second. Clyde Sacun's heavily enchanted and blessed two-handed sword of Chaos is far too dangerous to use in friendly combat, so it has been replaced with a normal two-handed sword, just like all other enchanted weapons that both the students as lord Taos carried. “In order to prevent danger, were the words from Taos to insure safety. But even with a non-enchanted weapon, Clyde is able to use his specialty. His heavy swing has been noted by Taos in training, and even the Champion knows that he should be careful with it. The only disadvantage of the attack is that it can't be used with a rush. The attack takes a lot of speed out of you to increase the weight on the blade, logically increasing the damage rate. While this attack could work efficient with the combined attacks of both Fladian and Princess Valentine, it remains hard to do.
Clyde's long brown hair was covering his eyes while in the hope to think of something to attack Taos with. While Taos clearly told the three students that they will only win of him if they combine their forces, Sacun has always been a man who rather fights on his own. The side of his hair was already reaching his shoulders making people think, “did you ever heard of a haircut, but the long hair that covered so much of Clyde Sacun's face was not something unintentional. Sacun has always been a man that thought out every little details in order to increase the chances of winning. His long hair was also an option to increase the chances of winning. The Champion is well aware that he should be careful for the attacks of Sacun.
Fighting alone was an option for those who are able to fight equal with the Champion, but since they are students, they don't stand a chance on their own. But, can you trust those you are fighting with?

Fladian was not very different from Clyde Sacun, the small patch of hair hiding his left eye and his right eye closed, clearly showing that he was trying to think of a way to win as well. While Fladian is well known as a bard than an excellent fighter in those days, his skills might as well be the best of the three students even though he didn't notice it yet. But even though Fladian might be very skilled and has a high potential rate, he lacks too much concentration to make good use of his skills.
Once every few minutes the right eye of Fladian opens for a moment and only then can it be seen that the eyes are different from each other. The moment the bard opens his right eye, he is giving the expression that he might have found a way to attack the Champion with, but that expression changes almost instantly and the right eye closes just like it was before. Fladian's hair was in a normal haircut that didn't hide even a little piece from his sight in opposite of Sacun, except for one little patch of hair that covers the entire sight from the left eye.
Taos, the Champion, is well aware of Fladian most liked and most used attack, the Twister Blade, as Taos called it. It was Taos' unique skill for years, until someone as nosy as Fladian showed up and tried to imitate it. Nowadays, Fladian is more skilled with an other skill that could be far more dangerous than the Twister Blade, but both Fladian as Sacun are now skilled in many arts of the blade.

The last person sitting in the opposite corner of the young bard, Fladian. She was clearly not thinking too hard of a plan to attack Taos. She was trying to relax her body to be able to fight without any stress and decrease the amount of mistakes she will make. “Every mistake is fatal, were the words from other students. The girl was easily recognized for being one of the only girls from all students and not to mention her beautiful long dark-blue hair. She was clearly the Princess of the Empire, Chelsea Valentine, the daughter of king Glodich. Lord Glodich insisted that she learned to defend herself and lord Taos offered his service in learning her. “I am in need of rest anyway, were Taos' words when he offered his services. Taos knew that she was definitely not as dangerous as Clyde Sacun or Fladian Lince, but she had her own points that made her special and in ways, far more dangerous than both Fladian as Clyde.

All three were clearly thinking of a way to attack lord Taos, but in vain. In all the time they trained with Taos, they never saw an opening to attack, even when they tried to attack him for fun with the fellow students. Taos' reflexes were amazing, his instinct was perhaps more blood thirsty than an animal and the power what he uses to strike is almost useless to block against if it is unexpected.
Nowadays, the combination of these three would definitely be stronger than lord Taos alone, but something like that would never happen. Lord Taos Levens is the idol of both Clyde Sacun as Fladian Lince, they see Taos as a man who cannot be defeated, no matter how hard you try. While the two men know that Taos is a normal human as well and can be defeated with the right tricks, they just refuse to believe it.

Taos traveled throughout the lands for 30 years, with 2 years to rest and train people. After those 30 years, he retired from adventuring and retreated to his house on the edge of the Grand Forest. The day Taos retired, he faced more opponents in combat than he could dream of, but the famous battle before his house is something that is unforgettable for those who've observed the battle, and those who fought it. While Taos fought people as Keith Ichan and Jade Dembi, no one was able to win from him until he faced his final opponent in front of his house. Fladian Lince proved himself to be a swordsman to watch out for. Though rumors mention that Clyde Sacun surpassed Fladian in the sword arts by far, it is never confirmed. Fladian and Clyde haven't been hostile to each other for a long time and they have no intention of training with each other. Clyde Sacun has never faced Taos Levens, the Champion, after the final exam in his sword arts. Fladian Lince and Clyde Sacun, rivals, is an accurate way to describe them.

Both men have no idea what kind of future is waiting for them as they stare each other in the eyes, knowing that the Champion is waiting for them outside. A meeting with the Champion is something that not everyone is able to do, but fighting and trying to win of the Champion is something that no one even dared to dream of, not to mention try.
While no one found any way of attacking Taos, they stepped outside, ready to face the world's most feared swordsman.

The iron horned helmet covered the Champion's short blond hair and only showed a part of his face. His eyes and mouth was the only thing that was visible from his face. A helmet that would be destroyed in Taos' final battle was shining bright in the morning sun. Lord Taos Levens, the man who holds multiple titles and is able to defend them with no serious competition for him. A man truthfully feared in the crowd of those against him. Taos clearly shows that he is named the Champion by his beautiful iron chainmail that shines in the morning light, like his helmet is. The two-handed sword, larger than the one of Sacun was carried in one hand, while it was resting on the large shoulder of the swordsman.
No one could predict the future, not even the once great mage, Magnazar or the legendary divine-caster, Alaex Alenderius. The result of the test could end up in the defeat of the famous man, Taos Levens, the Champion, and the born of three amazing humans with even more amazing sword arts.

Taos watched as the three crawled out of the cabin that was located in a tree. He knew just as the three students knew, that today will be shown how much progress they have made when they came to him, pleading for training, and now, brave warriors, ready to face even Magnazar in combat with only a sword to fight with. Taos could predict that he would end up as winner, maybe not if they would have an excellent teamwork when the battle would start, but Taos was well aware that he combined a group of people who had exactly 0% chance of being able to work together as a team. Maybe throughout the battle they would be able to create a small teamwork, but it would already be too late by then. Fatigue will already have sealed the victory for Taos then.
But even though he saw them walking towards him, their eyes were clearly on fire. They wanted to fight with everything they had, they wanted to show what they've learned over the last amount of time, they wanted to show that they had the determination to defeat the Champion, Taos Levens. They would not care about their stamina, they would only care to win from their master. With this thought, a small smile crossed the face of the large man.
Taos watched the combination of the three most talented students, as he asked, “are you ready to begin? and a small nod in union from the three confirmed his expectations.
The Champion removed the sword from his shoulder and easily carried it in one hand as he took a few steps forward, while looking in the eyes of his three young students to see that their determination was equally shared, unfortunately that was the only thing they shared.
Taos took his final step as he stood only several feet from the three students. With the top of his blade, he pushed the middle of his helmet a bit up, as he looked down to observe his students one last time.
His soft voice whispered the names of the three students, “Fladian Lince, Clyde Sacun, Chelsea Valentine… a small smile crossed his face yet again as he said their names. Taos was planning of saying, “you have a bright future ahead of you but decided not to do it. They will have to find out about their own destiny, they will have to show that they are able to become as powerful as they can dream. Taos managed to achieve his dream, but can they do it as well?
The three students looked up at Taos, showing the bloodlust that they all shared, ready to defeat Taos, the Champion. The battle begins the moment you'll look in each other eyes, and the battle could already end with a glare, but not with men as brave and talented as they are. Taos is well aware of what he learned them, and was aware of what they tried to do as well, but the final words from Taos would only be spoken a moment later.

“Shall we begin?

Yup, after reading that I'm very glad you're gone indeed.

Yup, I know. I am being called one of the most "popular" members around, so I expected a somewhat more dramatic reaction ;)

But to put it somewhat better on, I would like to see you write any decent sentence when you are feeling clearly that you are reaching your limit of your arm. That I was tired is a reason as well, but I only see that as a poor excuse.

I hurt myself today...to see if I still feel. I focus on the pain, the only thing that's real. The needle tears a hole, the old familiar sting. Try to kill it all the way, but I remember everything. What have I become...I have become Fladian. Everyone I know, goes away, in the end!

Azu. "inactive" is used too often, I want to use a new one, even if it doesn't make sense :P

Come on guys, let's get a bit serious out here. I know I am the spamming-moderator, but I want some decent feedback once in a while as well ;)
