Problems with negative Fountain of Life aura

Hi, I tried to make an aura which would remove hp from units in a radius around the hero... I based it on the "Neutral Regen (life)" ability, which is used by the fountain of life, but I ran into the following problems:

-although learning it works, the icon does not appear in the spell bar when learned. I checked, my added Func res is correct
-the aura only affects units already damaged
-units affected by the aura get the "bubbly" animation of the foutains, not the white circle

Anyone got a solution? Possibly a true aura I could base it on?

TIA,

Kinniken

Yes, This is a problem with life regen aura. I'd recommend using a negative Unholy Aura.

Immolation would work, if it's possible to change range.

Unholy aura? Does it heals units???

For Immolation, its a good idea... I'll test that tonight. I'll just have to see if I can change the Func res to make it looks like an Aura.

Unholy aura does heal units, at the final lvl it increases healing 150% and movement 30%. You could make a slow poison aura with it.

Does it affect units which are not wounded? Cause after some testing I finaly came to like that bug... it forces the hero to play smart, trying to hurt a little bit enemy units so that they get hit by the aura, making using the aura much more tactical...

Kinniken, What I meant by using Unholy aura is making it a negative and I'm pretty sure they don't have to be wounded and it doesn't have the healing graphic.

Just to note, Unholy Aura doesn't "heal" units - it increases their health regeneration rate. Only the Neutral Regen (Health) ability, to my knowledge, is an aura that has the option to switch to a "flat" bonus or penalty.

general, I'm pretty sure the flat bonus doesn't work. I tried it once and was draining like 200HP a second when I only set it to a VERY Small ammount.

Hmm, that is odd. I must admit, I haven't really fooled around with the Life Aura much. Note that increasing or decreasing HP regen rate doesn't actually increase or decrease the amount of health regenerated per tick, it actually makes it faster. So the flat bonus could be increasing or decreasing health at the maximum regeneration rate. What did you set it to?

i set it to -.5 for level 1, -1 for level 2, -1.5 for level 3 with flat with Life Aura.
