ZIP to MPQ by BlacKDicK This tool will convert standard ZIP files to MPQ Files. Warning: Please DO NOT use password protected or damaged ZIP files. It will cause errors. I don't want to offend you, but why did you programm that tool? I mean since we have WinMPQ I see no reason to use it. |

Well we XP users can open zip files like folders using the wondows explorer, so there's better interface... |

1) Also with Windows ME (I have it!) you can open ZIP files like folders. Anyway, I don't like this (because of lack of features), so I use WinZip and/or other programs for opening ZIP files. 2) WinMPQ is very easy to use. |

Im sure this will come in handy someday, like the wc3 reset program did. And even if it doesnt, its always fun to program and edit things, even if its just for fun. |

I think its cool, i can make my own mpq very easily now p.s. can this make those .exe programs like Scio did for UMSWE 3.3/4? if not how can i do this? |

Well I know it may seem be little bit useless but it's there. Could be usefull sometimes. Besides, I do stuff like that to improve my programming skills and to help ppl. I'm planning to give the code to ShadowFlare so she can change WinMPQ to both work with ZIP and MPQs, opening and saving on both formats. Mythmon, those are SEMPQ (Self-Executing MPQs) that are created with MPQDRAFT from Quantam (Camsys). MPQDRAFT doen not support War3 yet and Quantam said a new version supporting would be comming along. The problem is: he said that some time ago and the new version is not there. So i got tired of waiting and did a small change to it to suport War3. I just didn't release it coz it's not mine, so I don't want to start a discussion with Quantam. Scio asked me for it and he got it, but just to release a SEMPQ version of his UMS WE. Sorry by not releasing it, but try to understand that it's not mine, so I don't want to get in truoble with the original programer. |

Quantum's version is done. It has been done for a long time. However, he has refused to release it to to the public. The CC staff does have it tho. |

I have a version of MPQDraft that works with War3. All you have to do is Browse for war3.exe (NOT warcraft III.exe) as the program executable, and it works perfectly. |

No, the normal version works for war3 if you do that, ever since the 1.01 patch. Thr only problem is that the sempq generated in that method only works if everyone using it has war3 in the same place as you. |
