Guest | I've been working on a new interface skin and have run across a problem that I can't seem to fix on my own. Everything was coming along nicely, up until the point when I went to see how the interface would look in-game... Problem is, the UI tile #4 and the menu borders don't show up in-game. All the other skins work just fine, and as far as I can tell there is no difference between the skins that show and the ones that don't. I posted a screenshot as well so you can see just what it is that I'm talking about, and if anyone can help me figure this out it would be greatly appreciated. Also, this is the second interface reskin that I've been working on. The thing is, I have the same problem with the same exact files in that one as well- I just can't see for myself what I'm doing wrong. |

Guest | As best as I can tell everything is in order, and it seems unlikley that I could make that same exact mistake on two different UI tile sets. But it's like I said, whatever I'm doing wrong I just can't see it for myself. If it would help (assuming anyone can help) I can post the files and ou or someone else can disect them and look at their guts. |

Make a checklist so we know everything you've tried so far. Ex: File Paths are correct /w exact capitalization and everything Btw, are you releasing this UI to the public because it looks very related to a map I'm currently working on ^^ |

Guest | Alright: - The file paths are definatley correct, I must have checked them a thousand times out of sheer frustration - I've changed the values in the 'Game Interface Advanced Settings' in WE, and I also tried just allowing the file path to overwrite the original texture (my my interface is based from the Orc UI tiles). - It's also worth noting that in WE the image does show up (You know, when you're selecting a custom BLP and you can see a little bitty thumbnail of it on the left side of the window) - Have also tried renaming the textures. - Inspected the TGA file and not found anything that sets it apart from the files that do work (except that the files that do work are larger files- but they're also much larger images) - Used the Warcrft 3 Viewer to check out the BLP and everything seems in order there - I've probably tried several other thigs, I'm just not remembering right now what they were. Anyway, here's the textures, I'm just going to put them out there in case anyone wants to take a look at them. Just keep in mind that I'm only about half finished, so it looks a little rough still. |

Guest | I like it, it puzzled me how you could make them look good with them all broken down into parts. |

Here's something you could try. I know when I work on a skin for a model that if I don't use a certain Color Mode in photoshop it doesn't show up at all. Modes that seem to work are CMYK and Indexed. ![]() Edit: Weird, my post isn't showing up on the forum index. |

Guest | Thanks Ryude, while I don't have Photoshop (I use Gimp), I'll give it a shot. It at least gives me a new avenue to look into. And if I can ever get the damn thing to work correctly I can finish it at post it for download. |
