okay incase the title wasn't clear, lemme tell you what I'm trying to do. Let's just say I have the sunken ruins tileset as my base set, but I don't like that set's 'city' cliffs. Which files would I need to change and import into the map to skin it as say the dalaran ruins city cliffs? I know it can be done possibly by modifying the cliffsdata.slk, but I'm sure there's probably an easier way that somebody knows. Thanks in advance. -Ultra. |

well, I found the RoC cliff textures in: ReplaceableTextures\Cliff\ but somehow I cant find tft cliffs... weird.. anyway, when you've found the texture (hope it will be somewhere... :P) just import it and give it the path ReplaceableTextures\Cliff\Cliff0.blp or ReplaceableTextures\Cliff\Cliff1.blp depending on which cliff u want 2 replace. oh and btw, you want 2 replace the ground texture of the sunken ruins by the dalaran ruins aswell ;) cuz else it would look kinda weird. |

If you open the war3x.mpq, you'll find other mpq files on the root - called A.mpq, B.mpq, etc. Each of those contains terrain specific textures - for instance - A.mpq contains all skins different from the usual ones for Lordaeron Summer Landscape, B.mpq contains skins for Northrend Landscape, etc. Extract those mpqs, open them, check which tileset they are for, and replace them directly in the import manager - the replaced files will show up in game, but modified cliff textures won't show in WE. |

Ah great, thanks Tufy, I had such a damn hard time finding the dalaran cliff .blps because they wouldn't show up anywhere in the war3 and war3x mpqs. I got it from the J mpq in the war3x one though. Thanks a bunch. |
