Guest | I ran a search and there are tones of post topics about removing the hero glow, and each of them point to Nub's tutorial which takes the hex editing path. But how do you edit the hero glow out of an mdl? I ask this because I tried the whole hex editing nightmare months ago with no real success. But I am sure that there must be a way of doing it through in the mdl. What do I delete? Can I get some examples? I'm sure it would be much easier for most people to just edit a mdl and convert it to an mdx rather than the tedious job of hexing a mdx. If anyone knows how to do this please step up and please put up a clean and clear answer in this thread. That way people don't have to go searching thread after thread to get somewhat of an idea. |

there should be 3 planes by the heroes feet. Shrinking these should get rid of hero glow on the feet. |

Guest | I think you're talking about taking the 3ds route, am I wrong? I would much rather just delete the plane out of the mdl and convert it. I haven't had much luck with 3ds converting :( If you are talking about shrinking the hero glow plane in the mdl please elaborate how I would do that from notepad. |
