I just wanted to know a few things because i dont know if some of these things can be done.

First of all is there a way i can give regular abilities to heros and vice versa? If so is there a way to do so that the map could stil be played on battle net.

2, is there a way to make it so when a hero dies, the portrait on the left side of the screen will dissapear?

3, whats the best way to make a person win if they have the higher score on a leader board?

1. You can easily give heros normal abilities. Just use the "ability" field in the unit editor. However, only heros can have true hero abilities, since only heros can have skill points. You can give the spells to normal units, but they will be stuck at level 1, and do not need to be researched.

2. The only way to remove the portrait is to remove the hero from the game (Trigger: Unit - remove), but this is permenent, the hero cannot be revived.

3. You could probably use an integer comparison (comparing scores), but it might just be easier to always sort the leader board so that the person with the highest score is always on top, then use the condition "Leaderboard- Leaderboard position = 1" to determine which player is at the top (And therefore has the highest score).

Yes i know to use remove, but here's the thing, i want that portrait to be gone so even when my hero does die the portrait wont be there anymore.

And what do you mean only heros can truely have hero abilites? does that mean i cant give a hero a regular ability like, curse or inner fire and stuff?

I'm not exactly sure what you want with the hero portrait. If you simply want it so it's never there (even when you have a hero), I dont think its possible.

For Hero Units, "You can easily give heros normal abilities. Just use the "ability" field in the unit editor.", always holds true. As for what i ment about hero abilities, i was refering to non hero units having hero spells. You should probably just ignore the second part of what I said, it's slightly complicated, and doesn't really matter any more, now that spells can be edited. So....

Heros: Hero abilities - YES , normal abilities - YES
Non-Heros: normal abilities - YES, hero abilities -not really. There are however, several normal abilities which are exact duplicates of some of the Hero spells.
