Guest | I changed some skills for a bnet map and was told I needed to attach the altered files to my map. I downloaded WinMPQ to go about doing this. My question now is do I add the files I altered into a specific directory? For instance, I altered abilitydata.slk, humanabilityfunc.txt, and humanabilitystrings.txt. Should I add these 3 files into "/units/" directory within the .w3m map file? Or do I just add it in without a directory prefix. Any help would be appreciated. So far I added them into "/units/" dir but for some reason, when I test it on bnet, all players except host are auto-dropped 2 secs into game. I'm not sure if this a result of incorrect addition of files thru WinMPQ, or bad triggers. Help! - S1lverfish |

Guest | I'm not sure if its causing your drop problem, but all imported files must be in the same directory as in the mpq. IE Abilitydata.slk should be Units\AbilityData.slk . I'm not sure if the first slash you used changes anything, but I suggest not including it and see if it works correctly. |

Um, its Units\abilitydata.slk. Getting that one thing backwards can sometimes mess it up. And read my post about this or dl my tutorial from the tutorial string. And good luck. |

Guest | Stupid question, but am I suppose to attach the altered files to the .w3m map file? |

Guest | Yes, use an mpq editor (such as winmpq) to import the edited files into the map using the correct paths. |
