no i don' t belive they do, gmax exports another extension, and r we assuming u don't have 3ds max, or just need a way to import animations to gmax, |

is imposible, cause those files extentions, uses some data that can only be modified by the own program, is not like a .mdx file, those extentions save everything you have done + 1 things don't match with others. The best way to send .max data into gmax, is exporting in .3ds that can be imported by gmax. |

I gave too little information, sorry. Basicly, I have 3ds, but a friend of mine doesn't, and he wants to skin my models(no animations 'n stuff, just the model) (not for wc3). But he has Gmax, so I was thinking that i could convert it to Gmax so he could skin it. How do I export it as 3ds? It only let's me export as 3ds max scene. Or is that the same? Anyway, Gmax can't open it. Oh, Gmax saves as .Gmax and 3ds as .3ds max scene ,Mr.Staby Edit: Now I got another problem, I can't seem to export as mdx anymore (I have 3ds 6) I get this error: MaxScript Rollout Handler Exception. -- Runtime error: Index should be less than NumNoteTracks, got: 1 Can someone help me on this too? Thanks. |

first every max can export in .3ds, type file menu -> export and select .3ds format, then tell your friend to do the same thing in gmax but instead of export that he use import, and tell him to open your .3ds. 2ND that error only happens with KMKs impexp, to solve it simple: import a wc3 normal unit, delete it and export yours. |
