making a tinker harvest wood with spell animation

What i am tring to do is making workers with the tinker modell who harvest and repair with their spell animations because that looks like are welding if you dont look to closely...

i did it easdly with repair using "animation names" but it doesn't work the same way with harvest... they still attack.

i left the goblin workers the old attacks against trees and just gave them the new harvest ability. strang is that you don't even hear the weapon sound anymore.

Change the attack animation of the tinker to theone you want, change its range to 90, show IU to False, change the sound you want so you hear it, its damage to 1-1, and allowed targets to 'destructibles' only.
Then give him the same ability as the human peasant to harvest wood. Here ya go!

Well i would've done that if i didn't want him to attack normal enemys with the normal attack animation.

Ok

i need workers with a tinker modell that harvest lumber and repair using the Spell animation but attack enemys using the normal attack animation.

the way i tried it they use the attack animation for both gathering from trees and attacking enemys. but i need them to harvest with the "spell" animation not "attack" animation.

Ooooh O.K. I got it now

But I don't think I can help you with this, I can't think of any trigger that has an event like "unit is gathering wood", I think this requires file path changing or model importation... sorry

Well at least i'd have tried ^^

OMG Lord Vexorian, easy but clever trick as ^_^

xxxSpikexxx, I remember using "destructible is attacked" in a map, and I have normal WE, no UMSWE or WEU or anything. I'm too lazy to check, but i'm 99,99% sure it is an event.

I assume you've already tried having attack 1 the normal attack, but excluding destructables from allowed targets, and making attack 2 the harvest attack which only targets destructables?

of cause. in fact i just took peasant as base unit type so i didn't have to change anything. but that doesn't make them hervast with the SPELL animation.

Well i use the normal editor and i only have 2 events with distructable: "distructable dies" and "distructable within region dies"

There's a few different harvesting spells. There's a Harvest Ghoul's lumber, a peasant and peon harvest ability, and such. You can add a spell animation in there.

i would not have asked if it was that easy ... adding an animation there doesn't change anything.
