I like youe style.
However, at the moment, Nobody has (publicly) written such a program - at all. Plus, I like the format between MDX1 (war3) and MDX2 Final (a.k.a. M2) (WoW Retail) due to the fact that it's more like MDX1, of which I believe to be more structured than MD2 - But that's probably because I can't read it.
Hah!
Your best bet would actually be to write your own program to do so.
It would probably be easiest to obtain versions of WoW in thier chronological order so as to see how they progressed from MDX1 in War3 (very easily readable and decipherable) to M2 in WoW Retail (very difficult to read!).
Or, you might ask for help from one of the M2 pros - don't ask me who they are - look it up.

It can? Howso? What exe are you thinking of? And can this DLL simply be text-copied and pasted from the exe into it's own DLL file?

Blizzard is using thier own custom-created model format for WoW, and thus, there's got to be a DLL to unpack thier models into something a video card can read from, thus, a DLL. In WoW Alpha, there was such a DLL, however, after about WoW Beta 3, it vanished, presumably incorporated inside the WoW.exe file now.
