My First Voice Acting Attempt!!!

Well im a guy who likes to try everything to see his boundarys, so i decided to try voice acting.

For my first try I attempted to imatate a NWN sound of a demon.

"I Will Rend Your Soul!!!" ^_^

Not bad, good tones anyway. Sounds very much like you've slowed it down to get the 'growling' out of it. That's fine, but if you want a tip, try speaking faster and clearer before you slow it. That way it sounds more pronounced and easier to understand but results in an even more gutteral Daemonic noise.

Thanks, yeah i jsut realized how drawn out it sounded when I listened to it this afternoon, (right before i came to check the forum.), Ill probably try to speed up the tempo so i dont distort the sound, then repost/Update it if it is right.

EDIT: Just tried changing tempo but it doesn't change it too much really! ill post it anyway in this post just for comparison!

(Another)EDIT: it's only slightly faster though, i jsut realized, so they both say 3 seconds (First=3.5 Seconds Second=3.1 Seconds) any faster and it doesnt sound too demonish!

(Yet Another)EDIT: i know it doesn't make it sound more pronounced, but its faster, lol

Sorry for the double post but i want to post the next file without it getting mixed with the other as it is owned and created by BioWare and not me.

The sound attached to this post is the one I attempted to copy but not duplicate, as you can tell, mine is deeper.

Ideal. Bioware made Knights of the Old Republic right ??? Can't say all that much, your second attempt is comparitively spot on with the sample you posted, so mission accomplished. I'm no sound artist, but I'd like to hear you do a non bestial voice with no effects other than your own voice distortion.

With slowing (seeings I did a lot of daemons as well) you are going to lose all the intricate changes in tone in exchange for getting that drawn-out growl sound. If you want to do a posessed or more frantic character in the future and want it to sound similar, experiment on how faster and overly pronounced words sound when slowing.

I love demons and such, im sort-of an evil guy, lol

Yes, BioWare did make knights of the old republic! Thanks. I haven't listened to this (f'd svchost), but I heard the ones you did for Darkfreddo. Excellent work mate. I'm pretty sure a few projects will be looking for voicers in the near future so you could have some more work if you want it.

Heh, Good to Hear, the one I posted here is alot like the ones I did for Freddo, cept i did change the pitch on the freddo ones by like 4 or 5 to get it to what I felt sounded better. The one I posted here has nothing done to it.

EDIT: I just listened to them again, and the one I posted here is pretty bad...didn't give it too much heart lol
