I'v just had Gmax for a few days and I have no previous experience in this field. after playing with it I started my first project. Making MMX Iv done alright so far. but I need advice in the face area. So i though that if I could get a footman or palidan I could see how there faces are made. What I'm asking for: Are there any programs I need to extract a blizzard-made wc3model? Is there a program I need to use to transfer the extracted model into a .gmax file? I link to a post that already answers this would be sufficient. =þ |

Using gmax or 3dsm go to the utilities toolbar --> click on Maxscript --> click on Run Script --> find impexpmdx.mse --> click on MDX Importer/Exporter --> find your mdx you want to view and there you have it. Ill attach impexpmdx.mse on this. Remember to give me rep :P |

Ah I see. (Level Up: DarkMage gains +2 Int) I thank you! You was a great help to me. I will not soon forget it. .... Now, what was I going to do again? EDIT: After exporting a Male villager and Arthis, I looked at them. every thing seemed to be right. then I played the animations. I was horrified! There bodys where tangled and twisted in such in-human ways! I surmise that the WinMPQ exporting or the script importing messed the animation up. |
