hero revive problem...

alright lol this is so sad but im having trouble with this :( any ways... im makeing a strategey footies type game... and when u upgrade u cant revive ur hero... they all have the revives dead heros checked... what else do i have to do??lol this is sad like i said again since i have been making maps for a while and i am very good with triggers. but unable to figure this out..

plz help

basicly when u u[grade to a new unit set... and then when u lose ur hero, u cant revive the hero... y?

I'll need to see the map, since I can't tell if you're reviving via trigger, from a building, or have forgot to set something.

im reviveing from a building such as a alter... but when u upgrade your main base to a new tech level, you are not able to revive your hero anymore.

You need to go to the object editor and set "Revives Dead Heroes" to true.

I'm not sure what's causing your problem, and I agree that you posting the map would help us help you find the problem. However, if you need a workaround, instead of Reviving the hero, you can add the "Awaken" ability to the townhalls and revive the hero by awakening (like in the Tavern in melee Warcraft 3). You can adjust the cost, life when revived, and other assorted whatnot of Awakening to match Reviving in Advanced>Gameplay Constants if you want.
