Animating Verticies

Hmm, okay, I want to animate my Pacman model, and want to just move some verticies around as the animation...that way I dont have to make 2 half circle models and rotate. I tried the Edit Vertex modifier, but to no prevail...it just changes the whole model.

How can I animate a select number of verticies?

What modelling program are you using?
I believe if you are using 3dStudio max or Gmax (they are SO the same) there is an option in that to select JUST vertices, not faces, polys, or meshes.

Wc3 models doesn't animate that way. You have to deattach certain parts of the mesh, such as the upper part of the mouth or something like that, then animate that part. Then make sure all meshes are put to "connected" in the user property editor and it should animate nicely.
