Deep breath... Ok first, try useing the smooth tool to make the hills more real, use more types of trees, randomly place shrubs bushes and flowers. Use mabe ashenvale trees and summer trees to make it better, and add some fog ffs. P.A |

Guest | Well I really liek them both, they are just kind of monotonus. Maybe you could try changing it up a bit. |

Guest | in the 2nd image the sun rays just all the sudden stop i would extend em and int he 1st image it liiks like a gold sword is coming outa the hill i would take that out and maybe use the smooth tool so the hills look more natural |

Uh, thats 'cause of the sky... And to extend them would be dumb, its not a custom model, and its fine, johnfn here just needs to make the view less, so you dont see that big expanse of grayness. The "Gold Sword" is actually the sun in the sky... rotate the camera so people know its a sun. |

Guest | Oh I know, add some shrubberies, rocks, and other low level plant life to change it up. maybe some water/well/ farmkand or something of the sort. |

THe smooth tool si your friend :P Not bad terrain could use a wee bid more doodad randomization though |

Guest | Not too bad. I'm not getting that complete picture however, like something is missing. I think you still need to add some environmental things and overall doodads, and maybe randomize the trees so there not all Ashenvale, maybe add some canopy trees and a few lordaeron trees, Ashenvale and Lordaeron trees go nicely together. Other than that, good job. [edit] Also, I noticed in your first picture that the sun is twisted into a weird shape, it's just by the angle. |

Maybe you should try making a thicker fog or using a custom tree model? That'll do you good. |

I tried using thicker fog, but it took away a lot of the detail :/ But I'll look into the tree models. |

Guest | Looks alot better. I do lie how it's not thick up front but as the sight range goes further, it gets foggier. Yous hould probably change the fog to a different color, as greend oesn't fit very well with the atmosphere. Other than that, the only thing I noticed is that the sky is sort of cut in half witht he left side looking good then there's a line and it looks weird on the other side. |
