New Team Imarion members looking to be recruited. Terrain- Metal_Sonic64, Mouse.Pad Triggers- Moose-Head_Man, JohnFN Hero Creation- Metal_Sonic, Stoner-Peon69, Mouse.Pad Item Creation- JohnFN, Metal_Sonic64, Mouse.Pad I have changed the style of this Imarion map do to POPULAR DEMAND and the fact that LIMITLESS OPPURTUNITY can be found in the single-player RPG genre. We will be using the GAME CACHES instead of save/load codes. The alchemy system will be back, but even MORE intense (thanks to singleplayer, we wont have many problems. ;) ). Expect more items possible. There will be two areas. Imarion, a vast desert filled with temples and ruins of the "Forgotten Masters". The vast desert is littered with necrolytes and the sort who tell tales of the masters and their monuments. The next area, Kerrain, a beautiful jungle filled with odd creatures. Underneath will be the tomb of Imarion, the final boss area. :) each tomb will be a new area. New area = New map (yet again, awesome singleplayer abilities). That way we can conserve space.. We will make half the alchemy items in one area, and the better alchemy items in the other. |

First of all, this sounds.... Interesting to say the least, I'd be glad to help with items, I enjoy creating custom items. One thing that you should include is an item-combination system, it would be a bit boring just to collect the same items the same way over and over.... I downloaded a system from Wc3Sear.ch, and I've gone one a spree of creating items ^_^ Here's some combos- Firestone + Sword= Firestone Sword Firestone + Gauntlets= Firestone Gauntlets Icestone + Sword= Icestone Sword Icestone + Axe= Icestone Axe Shadowstone + Gauntlets= Shadowstone Gauntlets Thats only a few, here's a more advanced one: Spiritstone + Enchantment= Soulstone Soulstone + Axe= Soulstone Axe I'l post the map too, you can see the combos from there. They took a while to make because of the colour codes, but I like em' ^_^ I thought of a nice way to organize basic weapons, I was going to add in that map a few days ago, but I didn't bother. The idea is that there will be a few basic shops, the Armory and the Magician's Guild. Each shop sells basic items like swords, axes, shields, staffs, etc... But then there are other shops like the Enchanter, who sells orbs. Orbs are useless on their own, but when combined they are extremely effective. You can also buy scrolls to further empower orbs. (Spiritstone ala. Soulstone) This allows for multiple tiers of weapons without repetitive 2 item basic combos. It also encourages players to try and get the best items in the game! New ingame shot showing how nice colour codes are ;) I'l update the map soon too, I'm adding new items. |

Thanks! That is an AWESOME IDEA, SONIC! We WILL use that. Welcome to Team Imarion, you 2. I've started working on terrain. I'm going to use either cityscape or dalaran ruins, depending on what people think. Holy snap sonic, that was damn helpful! We will make summonable "sidecreeps" drop minerals for item creation. A great balance idea is to make "Smithing" a hero skill, in which there are hundreds of levels Edit: I think I might need a terrainer, because I'm not quite creative enough to innovate the terrain of this arena :P, but if we cant find one, I'll just do it old fashion style. BTW, I have added 4 ore shops: Basic, Journeyman, Advanced, Expert, and have added two item shops: Basic Smithing Items, Advanced Smithing Items (for the swords you want to smith, EX: buying a sword to combine with Demonic Ore for Demonic Sword). |

Glad to be a help A hero skill is a neat idea too, that way a level one guy can't just *come across* some really good materials and forge an uber weapon. I'm still making new items, I'm going to make some "dark" items that are achieved with a Shadowstone:Shadowstone + Enchantment= Fell Pact Fell Pact + Scroll= Unholy Contract Basicly, you can empower potions, tomes, scrolls, etc... With the Fell Pact, but the Shadowstone is used for weapons. I'm working on claws right now, so far I have the basic Icestone Claws and Firestone Claws. I'm thinking of doing boots as well, but I need to make some more staffs now. Also, to easily classify an item, Tier one (basic) items will be level 0, Tier two will be level 1, Tier three.... etc. So you can go through items without getting mixed up ;) I'l post more as I think of stuff, and I'l update my map when I reach 50 items :) EDIT: I've read your edit |

Awesome idea, that works very well. Tiers will go pretty high though ;). I think we're getting this off the ground. Moosehead, you will be working on a decent save/load code algorithm with JohnFN. You may also be working on some of the other in game triggers. Keep posting, fellows. |

Check your Pms I'm heading to Wc3ser.ch to download some icons, but I'm still checking this thread as well ;) Do you mind if I import some icons, it's a bit difficult to make some items with the icons in WE.Edit: Got the map, no problems Edit2: Do you mind if I switch tilesets? Cityscape is your average hero arena tileset, I want this to be unit! I was thikning Sunken Ruins base with some different tiles for different areas? Tell me if thats all right. Edit, Is it ok if I make the starting areas like little clearings? It won't have the average Arena feel to it, it will be like your actually battling in the forest (Although I'l add different areas if it's ok with you.) I was thinking a Ruins area with lots of cliffs where you can hide and stuff, A snowy area with few trees, best suited for diredt combat. A beach type area with a nice shoreline, and a forested area with lots of big trees. |

Anything you want. Switching tilesets is a nice idea, and if executed properly, the ruins idea would be awesome. Keep in mind that it is an arena, though. Once ur done terraining, I'll begin making spells (up to level 300). Also, all items SHOULD NOT add directly to damage. Items must add to PERCENTAGES (EX: Warsong Battledrums add 30% attack damage... Weapons will do something like this.) |

Oooh, ok, that's a good idea to keep it balanced, here's a screen of the place where your hero will appear ;) |

Check the other thread in "campaign/team gathering" for info so far on the map. I need anyone with any basic knowledge of the GUI and/or how to balance a game. I need a lil' more help for fun stuff on my map, such as item and hero creation. Can any freelancers help out? I could also use a basic triggerer to help with save/load code madness. |

We have JohnFN and Moose to help with triggers... we just need people to help out. |

We'll keep this with just one thread, shall we? |
