Storyline Request: Resident Evil

I am making a map called Resident Evil: Infection.
I have read many of the stories here, and I can see that you all have some storymaking talent. If you would oblige me could someone please help me hash out a rough storyline for this map?
My main idea is that when you are attacked, you have a chance of becoming infected. If you are infected, your mana count rises according to your health percentage. I just want a decent storyline to explain why these men are there fighting.

is this an entirely new resident evil plot, if not why not read some resident evil books?

I too would like to know more info. Is this raccon city? Is this T-Virus? Does anything about STARS and umbella have any important role?

Also, do you really need a good sotryline? I mean people really don't play WC games to see a great story, sadly. Night of the Living Dead seems to work well without a good story line. Just click and kill. That is, unless you want your game to have riddles. That would be kool.

Storyline---

Murders have been occuring all over raccon city and reports of cannabalism too, at the same time strange reports of zombies attacking homes and killing people.

You are an elite stars member sent to investigate to see if the "zombie" storys and murders are linked in some say shape or form.

There is a new plague running rampant on the streets now: not the black plague anymore, it was called the Mind Disease because on entering it would immidately start eating at specific points in your brain tissue. This would cause the infectee to lose all connection to reality except one sole instinct left: to kill. By this time the people were too far gone, and something has to be done about this new "zombie" meanace.

You are one of the elite soldiers engineered by the government, sent to dispatch of the "zombies" in any way possible.



That's just a basic cliched idea for a story, nothing serious.

In a top secret lab, the government was tring to create an anti-venom strong enough to counter any venom injected into its victim. By combinding multiple venoms together they created a virus not intended for its use. This venom accidentally spilled onto one of the scientists and began to meld with his skin. This virus attached the to the skin cells, which begins to decompose. This virus spreads throughout the entire body, and can engulf the body withing ten minutes. Once the virus attaches to the brain, it begins to make the victim lose intelligence. Within one hour, the body has begun a full transformation, into a "zombie" like state. Since the body continues to decompose it needs to get fresh blood within the body, to repair the damage. Thus the "zombie" like victim, will eat anything that has blood, in order to survive.

Actually, he is requesting a story, and that's sort of a blend between the two forums, but why make the thread harder for potential storywriters to find? I say just keep it here and avoid the confusion.

He also already has a story, not that he said so in this thread but he said so in another thread around the time this was made, whenever that was.

Oh well, who cares. If he needs a story, it is here for him when he wants it.

lol, I know, but I didn't either. Maybe I should write a story anyway? I'll use some warcraft 3 doods too. =D

After the moon's small volancoes began erupting odd, radioactive rocks, contact with the moon colony was lost. The city was quiet, and unnaturally cold, except for the smell of decay and undeath. One thing was clear - the streets were flooded with hunched-over spine exposed monsters. The United States didn't plan to kill all the zombies - because the zombies ate each other because a constant need to survive - but they did intend to rescue the survivors.

An eight marine squad arrives from the east into the colony. Only an army of zombies, a horrific monstrous creature from beneath the Moon's surface, and a building housing the non-infected remains between the squad and the survivors. But one of the survivors may be hiding a dark secret... and one of the survivors may be controlling the undead outside...
