Ya i just got the spell editor and i dont know which file to open... which one is it? THE RISE OF KRILL game how did they make their own custom skills ... is there a way we can do that |

You should get more in touch with other tools, like MPQVIEW or WINMPQ. Let me explain something. Warcraft 3 (in fact, all Blizzard games since Diablo) use MPQs to store the data needed to run the game. MPQs are pretty much like a ZIP file: they're a large file with a large amount of other files (compressed) inside it. MPQVIEW will let you extract the files inside MPQs and WINMPQ will let you add or extract file from/to MPQs. If you're planning to use your own spells, the first thing to do is to extract "Units\AbilityData.slk" from the War3patch.mpq and the use spell editor to edit it. After that you will need to ad your new "Units\AbilityData.slk" to your map. BTW, maps (*.w3m) are also MPQs, meaning you can add adn extract stuff from them using WINMPQ. |
