RPG Features: What do YOU want?

Alright, so I am making a RPG which I have stated before in a previous post. I have quite a few features planned for this rpg, but would like for some feedback on what people want. My current list of features are below, if you feel something is missing or something is horrible, please reply with any constuctive criticism.

Thank you.

Also, if you would like more information about how a feature works, reply and I will explain more.

Another note: This will be a single player campaign rpg in a huge world. Each race will start off in a usually different location.

Fleshed out features (fully/partially triggered and/or designed):

1. Custom Stat Screen
2. Custom Combat and Crafting Skills (not abilities, as in Lumberjacking, etc)
3. Race/Class Selection System using dialogs
4. Menu system to access various multiboard screens using dialogs
5. Advanced Classes, you choose 1 of 4 or 5 starter classes and can choose more advanced classes when you find the trainer and meet certain requirements.
6. Custom combat formulas. You have a crit and evade rate determined from your stats and level, plus any race or class bonuses. Damage is also calculated differently.

Other planned features that arn't fully designed yet:

1. Custom Inventory Screen
2. Custom Equipment Screen
3. Spellbook type system. When you advance your class you gain another spell book. You can then buy spells from shops that go into the spellbook. Only certain classes can use certain spells.

Features that are still in the idea stage:

1. Aging system: Different races have different life spans. After one reaches a certain age they 'retire'. You also have a certain number of lives so after they are used up, you are dead. This means you need to either A. have an heir which comes from finding a mate (for most species) which will come from doing a certain quest or set of quests, or B. find a way to become virtually *immortal

2. Heir system. As you need an heir to take over for you when your current character is gone, you might want to train them. There will be no level requirements for items, but if you totally ignore your heir you will start off with all your items and a level 1 character.

3. As time progresses, different quests become available. You are not the only hero in the world, and if you put off rescuing that pricesses long enough, some one else is bound to save her. Some events will be random. Needless to say this will be a long and daunting task.

Misc. things:

1. I will eventually be adding custom music.
2. I will also be adding custom skins/models. I would like for each character to show their age, so having a child / adolescent / middle-aged / elderly skin for each race/class combination would be ideal.
3. I also wish to create a good background and history for this world. A place where you can go into the library and find a book about a lost treasure or legendary creature and then gather clues to figure out where it is or if it even exists.

*This will make you sterile (as having an immortal person running around with thousands if not millions of offspring does not appeal to me)

Well, thanks for any comments.

For a massive RPG, it would be good to make it an open RPG, and have multiple maps linked together. Sort of like the Founding of Duroatar's first chapter, but a little more loose. I like our ideas, and I hope to see it one day!

Is there any possible way to bypass the world editor doodad limit? My map has exceeded the original ammount of doodad's, and I still need to cover an area. The doodad I'm trying to use is the "FurGreenTree" from the ultimate teraining pack in the terraining forum. I've tried using the tree as a destructable, but it doesn't seem to appear in-game. :<

Ever one of your ideas seems well planed out and fit togther so all of thous features I would like to see in the map but I would like skills that aren't used in combat but out of combat (aka a thief that can climb walls with a wall climbing skill). I also think your heir should be able to be a hybride (aka a half elf half human with the 1st hero being a human) with limations. If you find a legendary creature you should be know for finding it and get money or exp for finding it.

I am especially intrigued by the number 3 under misc ideas, the background story presented in various written sources. I like the idea, I already implemented something like that in my Era of war map, but such an element obviously had nothing to do in an action packed multiplayer map. Maybe you can develop it to it's full potential.

Many, many heroes. Heroes are usually the heart of the RPG, and make it very suscessful anf fun. Good luck!
