initialization and minimap

2 quick questions:
1. If I delete a lot of preplaced units and doodads will it speed up the loading time significantly when you start a map? ...i'm guessing this is a big yes
(I have max (1080) units down at start, most are removed before the game begins according to playing options...but how does this compare to just the map size in tiles being a factor)

2. Does a map inherently contain a tga of its minimap? And if so does a custom minimap overwrite that or should I find a way to delete the original minimap?
(I don't want to have an extra 256kb in my map if i can delete a hidden minimap)

Well about the second question, i think no, just because, that minimap is going to be uses in-gaming, and the preview edited minimap (if you do one) doesn't grew more than 70k

About the first question now, i can make sure that the units itself slow the loading process, but of course, as less units, less kb, quicker will it be ;D

Preplaced units can increase your map loading time. You could, instead, only place the units you need for the given scenario after the map's started.

Another big loading-time increase comes from having a lot of custom data, particularly spells.
