Funny, becuase I never actually noticed that Mana Burn actually deals damage equal to how much it hits. I never played the Demon Hunter a lot, and I haven't played around with Mana Burn either. I wanted to know if you can make Mana Burn not deal damage equal to how much mana was damaged. If you think about it, if it was to deal 10000 mana damage, you would take XXXX damage, which would kill practically any spellcaster hero. Can you get rid of it, or is it hard-coded into the spell itself? |

you will have to trigger this, make a trigger like this Code:
Events
Unit begins the effect of an ability
Conditions
Ability Equals to (ur dummy ability)
Actions
Set life of target of ability = life of target of ability - (mana of target of ability x 1/4)
Set mana of target of ability = mana of target of ability - 10000this trigger would make the damage do 1/4 of the target's mana and remove his 10000 mana. |

If you only want to eliminate mana, I would either use Siphon Mana, the Wand of Mana Stealing's ability, or trigger the effect. All three are quite easy to use to accomplish what you want. |
