I've been working on a new doodad for terrainers like me. I only know the basics of MDX/MDL editing. Its supposed to be a block of animated water based after the elevator platform . Nothing special. Unfortunatly, I cannot get the cliff texture to dissapear. I've got the water (not that great but it will suffice for now) but if i set the cliff texture to transparent, it won't load in the World Editor. Can anyone point me in the right direction here? ![]() P.S. -Pic with only water is what i want... -Pic with cliff texture is where I'm at... |

Guest | If you want to retexture the block, then you must change the skin path in the mdl file and point it to use a water texture (wich you'll have to search in the mpq). Probably you'll have to rewrap some surfaces too. If you want only to clean that geoset, then you have two ways: edit the geosetanims, so that they hide it in all animations, or -this is the fastest way- select and delete everything but a triangle, then move it in the center of the water block, and shrink it as much as possible. |
