the mdx file tells the model that there are certain places that have an underlying team color, and some places that don't. that's why when you alpha chanel some things, they turn transparent, and when you alpha out other things they turn team color.
You can tell what areas have an underlying teamcolor by looking at the transparent version of the unit when you select it from the unit list, but before you actually place it in world editor. Depending on the team that's selected, these areas should appear reddish, bluish, etc. |
