Story

Twenty years ago, Orcs led under Grom Thunderaxe invaded the human kingdom of Aranthor*. The attack took the humans completley by surprised, concideing the fact that the majority of the orcs were already in containment camps as a result of a war between the two races thirty years before that. So, due to they're surpirse attack, the meager Orc army of two thousand claimed some meager victories in this second human and orc war. However, King Terides IV rallied his men and drove back the orcs to they're dessert home of Rodor*.

It seemed that all was well, for the longest time there was peace for this generation. No Orcs have invaded in twenty years, no rebellions, no conflicts with the other advanced races, all seemed well.

But it was not to be.

Five years earliear, prince Malphrin* self imposed exile upon himself, and left the kingship, for reasons few even know.

And only a moth ago, the king was assinated, with a black arrow found in his bloody bed his servants found him in.

Now, with their king dead, they're prince in exile, Aranthor is on the brink of civil war between Prime general Markus Merilius, prime Arch-Mage Mordin Arathor, and the Council that acts as a parliament for the people.

Even worse, there have been reports of a lonely old man leading an army of the undead throughout the lesser kingdoms, fighting his way towards Aranthor*.

These are dark times indeed.

FAQ

Q: So, are you asking for people to join you, because I'm interested!

A:No-I'm working on this all by myself. Sure, when it comes to triggers, I may ask for advice on how to do this and that, but other than that, it's all me.

Q: Is this a mod?

A:No-this is only a campaign with very little editations.

Q: How long have you been workign on this?

A: I have worked only on the story, altough I have trained my talents in evreything else in little, unreleashed, and failed projects over the years.

Q: Is it for RoC or FT?

A: At the moment, RoC because I can't seem to get my copy of FT to work. If I do get my copy of FT to work, it will be for that. Until then, its for RoC.

Q: How will you be releashing it?

A: I am concidering going the Wanderers of Sorceria route, which I will release a map and a cinematic at a time, until the campaign is done.

Q: When will it be releashed?

A: I hate to say it, but when it's done.

Good story, but change the name of the Grom guy.

But if noone is gonna join this, why you post it here?
Am i wrong, or is this campaign RECRUITING not "See my great campaign AND DON'T DARE TO ASK IF YOU CAN JOIN!!!!"

So i really don't get it.

But i really think you should make your TFT copy work, because not many download any maps/campaigns that they can see is RoC.

I don't know where else to post this-it's been a while since I was here, so you can kinda expect my confusion.

And yes, I want to gte my TFT copy working too-I'll probably buy myself a new copy at ebgames, hopefully used, for like ten bucks.

And thanks on the story. I am planning on going to college to become an author, so that's a good thing for me.

I should read my FAQ again when I have some spare time. I already completely forgot what I wrote in it. Sometimes I am wondering what I suffer of, either a short term memory or amnesia :P

Regardless, usually I'd say that you can't post such threads here, or anywhere else as far as I know. I discussed with Dorelian once that people shouldn't post threads that are announcing a project that is not recruiting people.
Anyway, while I recovered from the flu I was down with these last few days (no wonder, 8 - 13 of the land is sick) I still am left with a small headache - so I don't really want to figure out where I should move it IF I should move it. If anyone has a suggestion regarding that, give it; it'll save time.

Well, so what if a few people deciede to be fools and go ahead with a campaign all by themselves? Evrey forum has those, even the recruiting ones-they think that if they post something, hundreds of people will beg to get in the team. Which, as I'm sure most of us knows, dosen't happens.

Can't you just tell me what forum it is?

Because Decadence and I constantly have to stop such people... it gets annoying after a while.
Regardless, I discussed with Dorelian about such a forum as well, his answer was quite similar to the answer Ufo gave you. Too many projects would 'suddenly' start and show no progress at all, or someone who is 'too' overconfident is trying to make something. Naturally, I know, I did it myself, I failed my pants off and I was quite annoyed :) About 2 years ago, there was a forum for such :P

So, no, no forums like that will be created.

My campaign? Well, several other important things comes first.
1. Work
2. School
3. Friends
...and I like to write more than I like to mod for Warcraft :P Not to mention that my agenda is quite full lately, and that I'm still (sort of) ill. So, no, I won't be "coming forward" with my campaign. It's not like I need any help either.

Doublehex, Triplehex, Quadhex, you can just make the map and post it at completed map section, and ask some help around. Put the project in you sig (like me muwahaha, ohh and other 26482 members) ^_^
