A Runescape Story The adventures of the Sirins Chapter I As Sarion ealked through Falador, he had un-weared he's helmet, and he's sword rested beside he's leg. He allways did so when he walked in a city, so that people shouldn't think he was some kind of black knight that couldn't find any black suit. He came to a crossroad. "If i didn't know the city, i would surely choose the wrong way!" he thought. He looked to the right. He saw the bank, and the many men and women that tried to sell a lot of things. As allways. Then he looked towards left. That was the way he was going. He was nearing the center of the city. Actually it wasn't the center of the city, but i was the best place to call the center of the city. Mostly because the real center of the city was occupied by the White knights castle. As he came closer to the center of the city, he heard battle-sound. But he's life had allways been mysterious, he was surely just hearing sights. But the sound became stronger the nearer he came to the center of the city. When he arrived at the center of the city, he saw that many of the adventureres as himself, was fighting the city guard. "Hmm. A gang of adventureres attacking the city guard? Why does robbers allways make the real adventureres look evil?" he thought. Not interested in the battle, he walked towards the north entrance to the city. He noticed that there wasn't any guards outside the gate. There wasn't guards at the gate at all. "Mysterious" he sayed to himself. The somewhat powerfull robbers could get reinforcements from outside the city. Afraid of being hit by a wrong slash from a sword, he took he's helmet, at put it on he's head. As he was nearly out of the city, he was attacked by one of the city guards. "Strange!" he thought. "The city guard is highly trained, they can see who is evil to them and who is not!". Swiftly it hit him that the guards were the gang and the adventureres were defending the city! He couldn't think more before the false guard sent a hit towards he's head! Quikly he turned he's shield against the hit, and with a quick reaction stabbed the false guard. As the adventureres were winning the battle, he turned against the gate once again, leaving the city. When he came out he walked up a way leading away from Falador, and through the dwarven and barbarian village. As he passed through the trail leading towards the dwarven village, there were more fighting. It seems to that the gang actually got reinforcements, but the reinforcements never made it past the dwarven village. Ingoring the battle he walked further down the raod. He nearly was in the barbarian village, when he got attacked by three more guards. As the first drew he's sword and swong it against Sarion's body, he ducked and swong he's own sword against he's belly. As the first guard fell to the ground, the two others stormed against him. In panic Sarion throw him self on the ground. Without time to the react, the second guard hit the other in the belly! As Sarion swong he's sword against the guards arm, the guard took up he's shield at blocked Sarion's attack. At the same time he swong he's sword against Sarion's head. Sarion used he's sword to block the attack, and thereafter knock the false guard over the nose, so that he died. He ran towards the barbarian village. He saw that this village also what under attack by the false guards, and Sarion realized that this wans't just a gang but it was a smaller army, or a proffesionel gang. This time he couldn't ignore the battle, as he saw it wasn't a insane gang, but a real danger. After the battle he returned to Falador. When he came to the northren entrance, he realized that the battle was over. So he let he's sword rest by he's leg again, and he took he's helmet off. He walked to the White Knights Caslte, to talk to Sir Amik Varze, leader of the White Knights and mayor of Falador. As he reached the bridge leading into the small island in the center of Falador were the caslte laid, there was a pair of guards ordering him to give he's weapons. "Fair enough! After all the city were just attacked!" Sarion said. As he passed the bridge and were under way into the castle, there were another pair of guards that were gonna check for weapons. Now he came into the yard of the great castle. He laid he's neck back and looked at the top-towers of the castle. "I wonder HOW many stairs there is in this castle!". "59231 stairs!" there was a voice that said. Sarion looked over were the voice came from. "Sir Amik Varze! Leader of the White Knights and mayor of Falador! I heard you were looking for me?" the man said. "Wha.. How the heck could you know?" Sarion said with a suprised voice. "I must know everything that happens in city, we shouldn't have such a bastard gang attack the city again!" "I'm sorry Sir Varze. But i isnt a simple gang!" Sarion said. "How can you know that? They weren't a that big gang." Amik said, as he was sure that it was just a gang. "Nope, it isn't just a gang. The same warriors attacked the dwarf and barbarian villages. They come from somewhere in north!" Sarion said. "North you say? Behind the monastery?" "Yeah around there!" "It's the Black Knights! Ever heard of them before? They are led by the evil Nifflis!" Sir Amik Varze said so it sounded nearly scary! "Hmm. Nope. Never heard of them! Who are they?" "They are like the opposite White Knights. Though we are stronger, they are some sneaky bastards! Rumors say that they have a witch in service. I belive those rumors, that would be typical Nifflis!" said Sir Amik, with a bit of wrath in he's voice. "Let me guess, he's your brother?" Sarion asked. "No. SHE is my sister. Why?" "Oh nothing. These stories need a little originallity anyway!" Sarion answered. "Stories? Eeeh? Well anyway, i must ask you to infiltrate their fortress, and catch or kill the rumored witch! Can you make it?" "Sure i can! Count on me mayor!" Chapter II A little later Sarion arrived at the Black Knights Fortress. He saw the adeventureres battleing the knights that guards the field foward of the fortress. It seemed to the knights were having fun battleing the weak adventureres, as they won far most of the battles. Sarion arrived at the gate. As he was setting he's hand on the door to open it. He was pushed away by a gate-guard. "You aren't coming in here kid! Only members of the Black Knights Serivce Team are allowed in here! And of course members of Black Knights Warriors are allowed! But no outsider-kids like you!" the guard said. "Oh, come on! I'm a member of the Infiltration and Assasination Team!" Sarion just guessed there was a section like that. Who should else have made the invasion? "Hmm. Whats your name kid!?" "Sarion Rissui!" The guard took a list from he's pocket. At once Sarion saw he's stupid. Of course they had a list of their agents. "Your not on the list outsider-kid! Get lost!" Sarion couldn't reach to do sometihng before he heard a sound very close to him. "Wasaaah! Hu-Jaah!" He heard, like some kind of karate champion. When he looked at the guard again, he was laying on the ground. The other guard got suprised too, because he also looked another way. . While the guard attention was sat upon the guard that seemed halfdead after a hit in the head with a staff, Sarion quickly drew he's sword and stabbed the guard. "I wonder about the annoying sound." Sarion said to himself. "Ahoy there Sarion!" he heard. Sarion looked over where the voice came from. He saw a man come forth from the shadows. He's hair were half-long and pusky, and he's beard was long and pusky. "Who are you? And how do you know my name?" "You are a bit stupid or just not thinking over the past? You just said yout name!" the man said. "Oh, well! But who are you?" Sarion asked "I'm Althilan Threepfoot. Actually im Althilan Ivinni, but most call me Threepfoot!" "So you are some karate champion? Monk with battlestaff?" "Nope. Actually im not that much into battleing, but i love doing quests for people. And the annoying sound was to distract the guards!" Althilan answered. "So, you are doing a quest? Why didn't i guess that! Well. Saving a princess in need?" Sarion asked. "Actually i'm infiltrating the Black Knights Fortress. The mayor of Edgeville asked me to! Why?" "I'm infiltrating the fortress too! Sir Amik Varze asked me to do so. But i like the quests where it is a princess that needs rescue if you under stand. Hehe" "Why didn't i wonder that?" Althilan thought. "Well lets team up. It seems to be easier united!" Althilan said thereafter "I guess so." Sarion answered. "Okay Threepfoot! At my command we storm in, find and kill the witch! We have 14% of surviving!" Sarion said. "Uhmm. Sarion don't you think its smarter to take the guards uniforms?" Althilan said. "Hrmphf. I was testing you. Lets get their uniforms on!" When they came inside the - more or lesser small - fortress, they saw a lot of guards like those at the gate. They were just, going around in there. Obsivioulsy trying to uncover if there should come spies, and then be rewarded by Nifflis. "Well, since its the only to get to any other room, i guess we are going through that door!" Sarion pointed at a door to the right. "Isn't it a little mysterious? There is no way leading to the towers!" Althilan noticed. "Guess its in here!" Sarion laid he's hand on doorgrip. "STOP!" a guard screamed. "Are you guys crazy? The highest authority is in a meeting in there! You can't go in!" the guard said "Also the witch?" Althilan asked. "The witch? As a guard you should know the witch isn't a knight! Is the highest authrity KNIGHTS!" the guard said. Before the guard yelled the whole fortress to alarm Sarion picked up a poisoned dart from a nearby table, and threw it against the guard. The dart hit in he's eye. "ASSASSINS!" Althilan yelled! Later after everything was searched through, and no assassins were found (of course) the guards returned to their guard duty. "Damn! What way is leading to the towers?!" Sarion said. "Shh. Someone could hear you!" Althilan said. In he's anger Sarion kicked to the wall. In seconds the wall turned to each side so that you could walk through. Sarion and Althilan looked like paralyzed on the wall. "Threepfoot, i think i just found the way to the towers..." "Hail the anger-kick... Lets get going! No time to wait!" The two freinds came up on a wall. "So, which way are we going?" Sarion asked. They looked around. In front of them there was two ladders like the one they just climbed on. To the left there was a door. "Lets try the door." Althilan answered. They came inside a small room, where there was another door and a ladder. "Same choice, door!" Sarion said. Now they came into a new room. (What else?) In front of them there was some kind of cage, with a screaming man it it. "AARGH! THE GARGOYLES ARE EATING ME AAARREGH!!" he screamed. "Whats going on to him?" Sarion asked. "Guess? I think it's the witch. That nasty girls can make people see their worst nightmares." Althilan answered. They looked at the rest of the room. They could see a altar. Possibly to some chaos god. Around one meter from the altar there was a door. Without a sound they moved to the door. Sarion laid he's hand on the doorgrip. Without any move from Sarion, the door opened soundless. "Nice trick! Couldn't see you moved your hand!" Althilan said with a very impressed sound. "Wasn't me. It opened by itself!" Sarion answered. "Creepy. Lets get going." They came out on the wall again. There was around three Black Knights going around (not the guards, the knights). Behind one of the guards there was a ladder (again). When the gaurd moved, the two friends rushed to the ladder and climbed down. They came to a small corridor. They moved down it and turned around a corner. They moved to the end, which was around 2 meters away. There seemed to be no way to come any further. "This fortress is beginning to drive me mad!" Althilan said. "Shh. Hear closely!" Sarion said. They could hear a voice through the wall. It was weak, it isnt easy to hear through a wall. "The eyes from a frog! The tongue of a unicorn! A king getting a warning, don't let the drinker of this see the morning!" they could hear. "It's surely the witch! What way leads in there? Quickly!" Sarion said Then Sarion noticed Althilan wans't listening He notcied he was half-crying. "Whats wrong Threepfoot?" "*Sniff* They are tortureing animals! Frogs is my favorite creature!" In he's anger Althilan kicked the wall they could hear the voice through. This wall also breached in two so you could walk through. The witch got a shock and looked behind her, all she saw was two gaurds standing and looking where the wall had been. "Sarion, shouldn't we just raise a statue of the anger-kick." Then they noticed a witch in shock looking at them. "Uhmm. Althilan shouldn't she be casting all kinds of spells on us." Then the witch got what was happening and she was casting a wave of magical balls after them, around seven magical balls. The two friends managed to duck before being hit. Sarion raised and jumped towards the witch. He slashed her from the side in one of her lungs. The witch fell to the ground. "That's it?" Althilan asked very suprised. "Seems to." Sarion answered. "But now we are stucked with a stone wall again!" Althilan noticed. Sarion got another anger-suprise and kicked to the big cauldron the witch were working with. The.. the 'thing' in the cauldron hit the wall and the wall smelted down. "Should we tell the writer of this story that he is using the anger-kick effect a bit too much?" Althilan asked. "We better not. Maybe he will never let me save a princess. Which is my favorite type of quests hehe." Sarion answered "Yeah yeah, i understand." Althilan said. They walked out the hole in the wall, they were in the grassy plain laying before the fortress again. The knights were still having fun killing adventureres. |
