hmmm... It looks like you used the robe to hide what's underneath... almost as if to cover over the fact that you're uncomfortable drawing bare arms and legs... It looks ok, but it's lacking movement... the picture doesn't even have that "cool stance" appeal. The coloring is ok, but i'd say that you could redo the character himself in order to make it better. icbm1987 |

well yes i am not very good at bare muscled arms/legs. two other drawings that ill upolad when theyre home are like that... electromancer and geomancer. theyre both 'unclothed' (no genitalia... im not into the whole nude models thing). as for the cool stance appeal, i didnt have a robe handy in senior study hall, so i couldnt exactly draw the robe like he was spinning around ready to fire his .... fireball. i have been trying recently though, to work on poses or 'action shots' by well... acting like a spellcaster in my room. then looking at how im positioned... yes, i did say that i still have to do the head and finish the robe detail, but yea thats pretty much it. thanks for commenting, icbm. |

I think top priority is to make the body parts stop looking like twizzlers. There really isnt that much to critique, you need to work on most aspects of drawing and I dont think you should be coloring just yet. You need to work on line quality, anatomy, poses, face structure, boots that arent the size of his full leg. As soon as you find something youre bad with, draw that alot, not hide it. |

the boots? look at a pair of your boots, if you have some. theyre the same size and proportion as these. besides... those magi gotta have the ankle support :P yea youre right, i def need to work on faces and the like. ill come back in the next few days with more sketches. thanks for the crit. |
