Hi @ all! How do I make an own menu for a campaign like in RoK? I am a german, so my english is bad! ://// Thx @ all who want to help me! :D Visit Warcraft.de! :D You are the best modders out there ( the team of RoK)!!! :D Cya Buster  |

changing the menu is pretty complicated stuff, the files you will need to edit are the .fdf files which youm ust open in notepad, but if you want to change the colors and have red buttons or a red orc like we did, then just extract that particualr model (their names make figuring out which model is which very easy) in the war3.mpq, then open them with a hex editor, find which textures it uses, and then get the texture you would like to edit, edit it, then change its filename and the filename of the model so they match. then u implement them into the patch.mpq. Now i know al lthat may be confusing, but its not an easy process |

Thx @ nicoli_s! :D But where can I find the *.fdf files? Are they in the war3.mpq or in the war3patch.mpq? And what can I do with the game.dll? I have opened it with a Hexeditor. @ RoK-Team: Why are the maps (in the maps-folder) so very small (512 Bytes)? Have you changed the game.dll? Cya Buster  |

ok i guess ill have to write a utorial for this, but you get the fdf files from both mpqs, just get the ones from RoK if you need a beggining example. Zepir put his name next to evertyhing he did so its pretty easy to follow. And you dotn need to hex edit the game.dll, you hex edit the menu model such as the mainmenu3d.mdx if you want to change the textures for the main menu background( the one where all the infernal are falling) when u open it up in a hex editor and scroll odwn you will see a list of textures, most of the beign soemthign like "textures\something.blp" now using the image extractor, open the file and lok at them. you can tell by the name or look of the file to see what it is a texture of. I guess ill post a big tutorial about it soon |

When I clicked on the link, it didn't work. It took me to a page that said I wasn't authorized to get in. Please fix! And how do you get the cursors like the Orc hand in the RoK page, i'd like to use the Undead hand on my webpage. |
