i just want to ask how to disable the save game thingy so that the player can't save his game and can save only through triggers?

IE: disabling the quicksave, alt+s.

Wow, thats a good question.

There is no way as far as i can see o.O.

The best way would be either to warn them at the beginning in big red letters "DO NOT SAVE YOUR GAME WITH CTRL+S OR THE SAVE GAME MENU!"

Then you could do this
Code:
Exiting on save
    Events
Game - The game is about to be saved
    Conditions
    Actions
-------- Oh no, they saved it anyways --------

-------- Insert saving triggers here --------

Game - Defeat Player 1 (Red) with the message: The game has been saved to blah, the game will now exit

Honestly thats the only way I can think of, you've got me stumped for a more elegant solution.

hehe... very nice suggestion. but oh well, you can't really stop the players to save their game... :D

and yes, i've used that trigger. but well, it did not work, because it will still save the game even though you exit it through defeat.

hmm.... jass?

There is a way to delete the save game folder... whether thats harsh or not I dont know... Its their own fault in the first place.

Code:
Exiting on save
    Events
Game - The game is about to be saved
    Conditions
    Actions
-------- Oh no, they saved it anyways --------
-------- Insert saving triggers here --------
        Wait 25.00 seconds
-------- Long enough for the game to be saved --------
Game - Delete the \save saved-game folder (or whatever)
Game - Defeat Player 1 (Red) with the message: The game has been saved as blah, and your save game folder has been deleted, it was your own choice.

maybe make it so that it throws them out of the game when they load it back up again. I think there's a function for right after a player loads a game, but i'm not positive. When that trips, defeat them.

And that's not as harsh as throwing the whole savegame directory to the sharks.
