The Cult of the Damned project is far from completion. I have recently been working on converting the acts into a video form so I can post them online. I just completed a super trailer from the video clips from all five acts and Edgen kindly uploaded it at a site for me. Please tell me what you think. I will be posting it at several film/gaming sites and submitting it to a film festival this spring.

Neat
Wish you could get rid of some of those slow downs.
How hard is it to convert cinematics made in warcraft into regular video files?

This is a neat trailer but the size could be more. You should also yes make the logo show longer, maybe for 3 seconds..

Wow, very impressive just like the original cinematic. You've inspired me to do something similer for Forsaken Destiny when I get as far as the campaign :).
As for recording WC3 cinematics, you just need a program like fraps that can record the on screen action though I don't know what Zurg used.

I used a hardware device that captured video straight from the video card. No lag like in Fraps.

pretty cool. a few crits.

i thought that the part where you showed your logo kinda broke up the flow of scenes. you could put it in at the beginning and have it fade from black into your logo into the first scene. if not that then at least move the clip of the logo to some place where it doesn't cut that fountain scene in half.

the shot of the huge fields i felt was kind of empty, and not quite like your other scenes in terms of terrain. you could have put a few trees or other props here and there to break up the repetitive tiles.

the scenes toward the middle, where it cuts from one scene to the next, doesn't flow too well either. first you have a static camera on the tavern (love that shot by the way), then you cut to a tracked camera moving in a field, then back to the static camera. those particular scenes feel a bit too broken if you know what i mean.

Really cool, is that a free host you're using or your own or something?

No, Justin R. Durban helped me with hosting. He did the second music for the trailer, his site is www.edgen.com.
